Any Janette Oke fans?

She's one of my favorite fiction authors. I was just wondering if anyone else here likes her work. 8-)

Yep, I've read some of her books, and really enjoyed them. Have you seen the movies based on the "Love Comes Softly" series? They're great.

My wife likes her, but says the southern 'twang' in the dialog in a couple books she read is a bit overdone and thus detracts from the storyline.

I've heard of the movies, and have actually seen them in the movie rental store, but I haven't ever rented them and watched them. I'm sure they're good, though. I'd really like to have that particular series of her books, but havn't managed it yet.

I have to admit, the written accent (there's a word for that if I could just remember it) is difficult to understand from time to time. However, I've found that by reading the accented parts aloud in any book, helps to convey what is being said better.
