On anything prior the late 40s,modernist architecture, not my favorite as its more for utiliterian, and also quick and fastCouldn't afford it. The workmanship then was extreme!

The Alamo is in that category
The house here is nearly 100 years old built in the 20s.

Thays a federalist style ,wooden or masonry those always look great, they doNT need domes either to do so.nothing comes with the Victorian architect should have read, nothing compares with the Victorian architect. Head to finger miscommunication, LOL

Victorian style is associated in the south with slave plantations aND that would be correct among with a few others common to florida /Georgia. Ie bermuda, classic revival, Georgia classic revival .I'm just partial to the beauty of the Victorian style although there are many beautiful styles out there. We have many masonry buildings here that were built in the 1800's that house many businesses today. They are all masterpieces.

Implication of wealth ,but not always ,is usually the case.older homes after the civil war, here in my town ,were of grove houses. Not so here up north as the elaborate Victorian homes around here meant one of high standing in the community that had wealth.
