If he looks out for em on earth yesterday and now why not tommorow?

Then you believe its the physical body that reaches heaven and not just the spirit? Heaven being a non-physical place surely must only be reached by non-physical beings, and if animals do not have souls then what is left to move on?

dogs dont goto heaven they stay out side.

they will be a big sign on the pearly gates "NO DOGS ALOWED"

By the way, did you here about the dyslexic agnostic?

He would often stay up all night wondering if there really was a Dog.

Then there was the dysleaxic bank robber who tried to do a hold up with a gnu.

Why would God dissalow animals into heaven when he loves them. After all he did create them and after he did he said It was Good (in genisis 1) However God gave us animals to eat after noahs flood. If we are animals (which would make animals humans) Wouldnt that be a canabal act?

Also doesnt it say in the bible that we will get a knew body when we reach heaven. If so we wont need the old meaning our physical body wont need to go to old hevean.

Humans are a higher form of creature than other animals in much the same way that animals are a higher form of creature than plants.

As I pointed out before the designation ANIMAL is not biblical. It is zoological.

In the Bible no creatures are defined as being animals.

So I wonder if someone can sign to Koko that she has no soul. Too bad for her. However, the good news is that while she won't make it to heaven, she will be spared hell as well.

Humanity has constantly tried to elevate itself above everything else. So to do so, humanity has gods that do this. But then humanity learns it is not the center of the universe. Instead it is on a rock in the suburbs of a galaxy surroundedby uncountable other galaxies. Scientists show that we evolved instead of were created. Artificial intelligence is eroding our confidence that we are the masters of thought.

So we hold onto what we can to try to stay special. We believe we have something that is non-material that no other creatures have. This soul does nothing except works as a tape recorder and is somehow suppose to represent us after death.

To me the concept is silly. It is just an invention to elevate us once again.

They haven't shown us much more than some evidence but a whole lot of conjecture.

AI has done nothing of the sort. All AI can do is what we 'program' it to do...but at a much quicker rate.

I read a book on AI. One of the things that it points out is that people redefine "intelligent" activity to be those things that humans can do that computers can do yet. For example, playing chess, adding large sums of numbers, and solving calculus problems were activities associated with being intelligent in the past. Now, we redefine it to be stuff like art appreciation, creative writing, and common sense.

However, what is interesting is how similar our brains are to computers. Basically, most of our software is built around pattern recognition. So in chess, a computer will look many moves into the future. However, humans will look a few moves and then try to identify winning patterns of the chess pieces.

Since a lot of work is being done with pattern recognition, we will see the gap get more and more narrow.

I truely believe what sets us apart from the 'animal kingdom' AND computers (AI) is the ability to reason. This is both good and bad. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it hinders. Quath, give AI the ability to really think and feel in human terms (if ever possible) and they most likely will start making "Human" mistakes.

Humanity has constantly tried to elevate itself above everything else.

Let me quote Romans 1v22 Professing themselves to be wise they became fools.

Hey just an extra question.

IF humans are animals then how come humans can speak and other animals cant (well not what we speak anyway) They communicate to each other but I've never had a good ol convo with a rabbit or a cat before. Did God also confuse the animals languages? Is there anything in the bible on that?

Exactly. Except they will make these mistakes a million times faster. ;)

Maybe you missed the earlier posts about Koko speaking or about a dog communicating with its barking and tail wagging?

How have those good ol convo's gone with people you run into who only speak Swahili, or Punjab, or Navajo?

 LOL, love it. Gives new meaning to the phrase "Speed kills".

LOL I see your point. But those people could learn english or spanish or french or any language they wanted if taught. But how could an animal?

Also how come animals dont wear cloths?

Bear with me I'm slow :D

get any non-human to write a book--then come back and tell me how we are the same!

if any humans are the same as dogs dose that mean we should get you nutered

But plants breath, they need food, they live and die. would this mean that plants are then animals? and that humans are also plants?
WHAT? Plants have a set of traits that define them as plants. Humans and other animals have a set of traits that define them as animals. It's taxonomilogical, not metaphysical.

And as far as saying humans have souls, and animals don't:
What do you define as a soul and can you show that humans have this trait and animals do not?

In gen 2v7 it says And the lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrilsthe breath of life, and man became a living soul. It doesnt say anywhere in the bible about God giving animals a soul. We were created in the image of God (gen 1v26) The soul is like the heart of your spririt, It pumps.

WHAT? Plants have a set of traits that define them as plants. Humans and other animals have a set of traits that define them as animals. It's taxonomilogical, not metaphysical.

True but my point is that there all living things that God created.
