Chances are that if there is life on other planets,

1) They are not fallen and sinful like us, and

2) They will never have contact with us (instructed by God not to contact us?) due to our sinful and fallen state (which is contagious).

That is all.

My whole reasoning was to the debate of this post, on how aliens could easily disobey God as Satan does as well.

On this thousand year day, does it actually state that in the bible? Alot of things can happen in a day if its true, woops i missed the end of civilization...

Or are they God? Ancient artwork and biblical situations hint at this being possible. An intelligent and advanced civilization that would be able to traverse the universe would one way or the other know whether a God existed or not and whether one should worship or not.

I belive that it was the sci fi author Arthur C. Clarke who stated, " Any sufficiently advance technology is indistinguishable from magic".
If aliens did visit this planet in the early days of the human race, it would have been impossible for them not to think of the aliens as gods.
Imagine, the highlight of your day is being able to get a fire started and having enough food for yourself and your family. Suddenly a firey disc appears in the sky above you and comes to land. Out of it approaches several beings that have no skin or covering like you've seen before(containment suits to protect against possible microbes), they carry things unlike any spear, club, rock, or other weapon or tool that you know of.

I think that you can see where this is going. Nothing they do is like anything that you know of. Your only ability to understand there actions is to explain it as either the supernatural or divine. After that point it becomes a matter of understanding why they chose you or your clan. Add several additional visits with a thousand years of telling and retelling the stories and it become possible that you've created a number of the mythologies from different parts of the world.

I would not be shocked to discover that Earth is the only home to "intelligent" life in our Universe. Even taking an evolutionary view, one must allow for the possibility that our being here could have depended on a sequence of events so unlikely that it may have happened only once.

More compelling to me is the following argument. My understanding is that present evolutionary theory requires that a big chunk of the 4.6 billion years that the earth has been here are required for the process of evolution to get us to where we are today. Since the Universe is "only" about 3 times as old as the Earth, it seems that we could well be the first intelligent civilization to arise.

atheist- heck yes. ther eis life, wheter intelligent, single celled, or what not, somewhere else, in this HUGE system of ours, some gasses mixed together, and we have life. atleast.

Towards your second paragraph, I think that is indeed possible.

Our sun is likely a 3rd or 4th generation star....for the heavy elements necessary (at least to us) for advanced life those elements, like iron, need to be around...and it takes a couple star cycles to get them.

The circumstances to acheive these heavy elements are relatively "young" in terms of the unverse, you are right.

I think it is entirely possible that we are the first intellegent civilization to arise. Perhaps more importantly, I think it is probable we are the first to arise anywhere near where we could possibly communicate with others.

Just quoting Misslar's tapes about the sexual violation and harvestings which was only a partial reference to what abductees have claimed to have experienced. I went and checked out some Alien abduction sites to see if what he said was true, and it sure seems that Misslar truthfully reported about statistics taken from abductees. Just about all report one or all of the of a list of procedures, including sexual violation. One site I looked at included DNA samplings....Yeah, I get a chuckle out of it all too, but I'm not sure if your laughing about the whole Idea of aliens or just that they may possibly be the fallen angels that were kicked out of heaven with satan. We have little hard evidence either way, but check out the link and listen for yourself. He sets it up to be pretty interesting and convincing. There are a lot of sightings going on, and I agree with Him the whole thing could be a setup to fool everybody by bringing back Nephilim in some kind of spectacular display or delusion spoken of as the lie many would be fooled by in the end times by the antichrist and false prophet. But, it's another question altogether about whether satan existing has anything to do with aliens...or atleast the type of loons who claim to see aliens.

I can't even get alone in my own room most of the time, so I doubt we are alone in the Universe ...I think there could be many other levels of Heaven .....Jesus said "In my Father's House are many mansions"....and Paul was taken up to the third Heaven.....there is just so much we do not understand but hopefully one day we will....I do believe that Earth is the only place where man was created in God's image......I don't think it is going against the Bible to speculate on this..after all, "we see through a glass darkly but one day we will know even as we are known" leaves a lot to the imagination....God did say he created the Heavens (as in more than one) but he only mentioned one Earth.....so yes, other Heavenly places....but not Earthly......not flesh bearing people.. :D

You know, up until last year many many people believed in 'Big-Foot'. Now that the creator of this hoax is dead we know better, but there are still those that insist that Big-Foot exist even though the man that created this legend has admitted that it was faked.

There is absolutely NO reason to believe those that claim aliens have abducted them anymore than there was a reason to believe in Big-Foot, but there will be those that persist in their beliefs.

We have NO evidence that any other life exists in the universe other than our own. Speculation based on shear numbers means absolutely NOTHING. We have much more evidence that any other life DOES NOT exist than we do that it does.
