Am I the only bored again Christian on this site?
I just can't find an interesting thread this morning. The real problem could be that I am a boring person. Boring people get easily bored. That's what I heard anyway.
Hey sometimes I bore myself . Not again humble please. You are just not funny any more. Too old. Too insane .

Boring people get easily bored.
That famous loud motivator.....what's his name? ...ah Tony Robbins.........he said once ;
" Anyone who complains about being bored is a boring person. This activity is not boring. You are boring."
But I think I would get bored if I went to one of his motivational talks. I think he only appeals to young fit people. If that.

I'm bored again and I got shaved earlier today. Problem is I need to be shaved every two or three days .
I heard that some Christians get shaved only once in their life. Jesus shaves?

I went to get a haircut few months back and the dude ask me if i wanted a shave and i said no as im not really a fan of another dude shaving my face.

He's wrong. Children most often complain about being bored and that's because they are being given adult treatment. It's the ways of the adults that is boring in those cases, not the activity because what do you do to break a child's boredom? You give them a fun activity! So I don't agree with him saying that bored people are boring. I say it's the boredom that makes normal people bored, and it's only because they're being expected to cope in an environment that is not matched to their intrinsic interests.

An attic is above. A basement is below.
A cellar is a cool storage room - so it can be above or below, but traditionally was below where the ground kept a consistent temperature. Basement is not analogous to cellar because basement is a leftover space that may be converted to a cellar whereas a cellar is a dedicated room - arguably more important than the kitchen itself (as being the traditional equivalent of a refrigerator).

You sound like someone with a college education.
Thanks for "storing" that information for me.

Boredom canbe a reflection of a modern impatient mind. Which expects everything to occur immediately. I used to get bored waiting at a GP.without a phone .

Yes I agree and that's interesting. But I think it is the expression of discomfort due to having nothing interesting to do in a given moment of the presence. Which obviously changes according to the environment and personality/maturity etc.

I think your example is similar to the way I once was when I was a television watcher. I remember that the room would seem boring and dull if the TV was off, so I would turn on the TV to something interesting even though I was going to carry on with other things. I notice some people are like that too, even though nowadays I rather turn the TV off. I would do it because I don't find the TV interesting anymore, and in fact I find it offensive to varying degrees. So I think that both those examples show boredom as the motivator: the TV creates boredom that I rather not have, whereas a TV watcher would say it is boring without a TV going. I think that's a pretty good example of why it is wrong to say that the bored person is boring, because it really does depend on whether the observer agrees that the bored person is entitled to feel bored.

When people make prejudiced axioms as Mr Robbins has done, it unfairly judges anyone who meets the criteria of the axiom, but has no interest in assessing whether that person is entitled to ask for something more interesting.

In your example, doctors acknowledge that the waiting environment is boring, so they place magazines on the table, toys for children, sometimes some music, paintings on the wall, etc. I have noticed that you mentioned your phone activities twice these past couple of days... Are you feeling as though it's such an addiction that life is boring without it? Or is it really causing problems for you so that you would be better to get control of it?

My education is in the field of Audio Engineering, though my career is in the field of Website Development. Neither of those are related to architecture or building though. It's interesting that you would identify that I have obtained some tertiary education because of the things I said here. Could you explain that a bit more? Surely it's not just the punctuation and grammar that leads you to say that - I was already ahead of the teachers with my grammar and punctuation at seven years of age :D I remember that.

I hate Tony Robbins by the way ....he is like a virus with his ideas on motivation that is only superficial and never lasts.
I get bored at Church if the sermon is too long.
We all have a different idea of
"Interesting".
If you watched some of the YouTube channels I watch, you would get bored.
But there are boring speakers that the majority find boring. Often their voice tone is the problem. Lack of expression and enthusiasm in their voice.
I try to use an enthusiastic tone when talking to my dog. He is only a child.
