Are you confused? Welcome to the club. It sounds weird, but the logic seems to work ("seems" being the operative word).

Oh, it's that song. When I saw it on the Muppet Show, I could follow the logic with great effort...but just barely.
 
I wonder if this would be legal. Can you marry your son's stepdaughter? If it is legal, I wonder if it has actually happened. :chin
