I am self-taught and as a child, all I did was draw.

It has been over two years since anyone posted here.
Is there any reason for it?
Is creativity by hand so out of date that it is hardly used anymore?
I sure hope we have not limited our creativity to just pushing buttons, and moving a mouse/wand around a blank tablet.
Or am I just old fashioned, who still likes to finger paint?

I'm much better and more practiced at digital art, but I can do traditional. I'm wanting to get more use and practice out of my Copics, particularly in using them to shade. It's a bit more challenging and requires more planning ahead on a physical plane than on a digital one.

Thanks for your response.
I like the drawings of the animals, well done.

I had to find out what Copics were. Now I know.
Many years ago I used colored felt pens for quick sketching only, for formulating rough ideas/compositions.
If you are better with digital art, it is because that is what you mainly do. I am sure if you did a few traditional drawings now, you will see an improvement to your last efforts.
I like playing around with digit art too, but I am only as good as I can push a mouse around. I really do not like the dislocation of not seeing where my fingers are, and what they are doing. Also I love the feel of the paint of the brush on the canvas, the felt of the pen on the paper, the charcoal scratched and smeared on the paper, the smells of the medium, being on my feet and moving around the easel. mixing colours and seeing them evolve from one colour to the next. The use of mixed media from paint to attaching something more physical other than paint to the canvas. To my, it is so much more fun than sitting at a computer terminal/tablet. Yes, I am from the old school.

Oh, just to let you know. 99% of artists always feel their work 'sucks', that is why they keep at it - to improve.
So keep at it, and have fun being creative.

Very nice! The human one is very well shaded I thought. We are our own worst critic.

the treasure above almost completely got away from me, i had only 5 minutes in the cold wind, to get to my room in the back of the house down hill to find my camera and get back to this beautiful image God told me to share to the world.

i forever thank God for giving it to me.
