I didn't realize that there was already a thread for artwork but here's a couple of my own drawings. :) Recognize the first one?

Let me give you a clue. :biggrin2

Now this second drawing shouldn't be that hard to figure out. :biggrin (I drew this a few years ago and hung up on the back of my bedroom door.)

Here's some more of my artwork. :) Now I realize that this first picture isn't perfect but I think it turned out better than I thought it would.

You can draw much, much better than I can. Lovely kitties and your sense of humour shows in the last one.

Gee, thanks. I can't draw people very well at all though. I still think that I drew Jessie a little too long and a little too fat. Ah well, she's a chubster in real life anyways. :lol

Cute! I like the Stitch one.

Something that helps tremendously if you aren't doing it already, is to sketch the basic shapes before you outline. For example, the Dalmatian's nose would have a circle shape. You can sketch that before adding other details to it. The head would have a more square ish shape. The shapes act as a sort of guide and make your work easier.

It looks like you're drawing free hand, and you're doing pretty decent at getting the general shapes that way. You can improve even more and probably faster by sketching out the basic shapes beforehand.

Umm,.. thanks. I can't say for sure whether or not that I'm doing it already but every time I draw something I either look at or think about the shape.

Ok, I said I'd share some artwork so here are two. I found these stashed away in the attic or a closet and they both hand painted on...some kind of steel. Almost like an old piece of an old refrigerator cabinet or something? I don't know how old they are or who painted them. My dad was not an artist. His mom wasn't either as far as I know. They could be 50, 60, 100 years old, I don't know.

But they're nice.

File too large. Let me see what I can do...lol

What's an easy way to resize pictures?
What size should it be max to post to the forum?
