1 Corinthians 14:21 kjv
21. In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

After 400 years of silence. Jesus seems to have spoken two ways.
In Greek
In parables that hid the truth.

What a coincidence Christendom is divided into three measures: Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant. AND scipture predicts there will be a massive falling away so that the Man of Sin Son of Perdition sits in the Temple of God (the church) proclaiming himself to be God:

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2 Thess. 2:3-4 NKJ)
