There's just something to Allen's writing that leaves me warm, piously thoughtful and awed by God's care for these people. I cannot understand how some had such a cold reaction to such an intelligent and caring individual as Allen.
Yes, i know what you mean. He was a awesome writer. But some cold reactions are driven away from the truth. Been a few years since I read the book. Have to read it again.
It's so interesting about the stone that was Jacob's pillar, the one he rested his head on and dreamed of "Jacob's ladder. How the 12 tribes packed the rock around. The same stone that Moses struck and water came out of the rock. Symbolic of Christ. But that the 10 tribes taken captive by the Assyrian over the Caucuas Mtns, latter called "Caucations" settling the British isles and then America. Some were called Saxons, which means Isaac's sons. How the same stone sat under the queen of England's cornation chair. That would be overturned three times Eze 21:27 . To think that has happened.
Coronation Stone
quote
August 8, 1296 the Scottish Coronation Stone, the Stone of Destiny, was removed from Scone Abbey. The stone was taken on the orders of King Edward I of England, and was transported to Westminster Abbey, where it was used to crown English monarchs until it was returned to Scotland in 1996. The stone itself is a block of red sandstone, and was said to have been used by Jacob, father of the twelve tribes of Israel, as a pillow.
If you have ever seen a picture of it, it has the rings of iron in which it was carried. This really isn't a very good picture but does show how the Queens chair sat on the stone.

And the story on the red thread. Also that Jeremiah took the king Zedikiah's 3 daughters "young twigs," if memory serves correct one was named Scottah. Which is where the name of Scottland came from.
There's just soooooo much to try and remember. Quess i need some more memory  files in my head!
