At the revelation of Jesus Christ...

Try it with any chapter of the revelation from ch 4 onward.. And explain when it took place or is taking place now..

It doesn't work.. Simple as that.. And simply because these literally are the things which shall he hereafter.. In that Day, the Day of The Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ... which shall come as a thief in the night and as travail upon a woman with child..

The Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ make it crystal clear that the Day of The Lord is a future event. To say otherwise is to blatantly disregard the teaching of the Apostles.. The very foundation upon which the church of God is built..

And we should easily see that Day approaching.. And it's a biblical certainty that it is coming..

Daniel 11:
33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
Daniel 11:30. "For the ships of Chittim shall come against him. Who is Chittim? Though thought to be Phoenician in origin it was undoubtedly Roman as they came against the Grecian Empire.

I do hope you realize Daniel Chapter Eleven is of things past. Antiochus, a Greek was only a type of the future man of sin which many call the antichrist. As my friend Brother Hawkins taught in his study of Daniel he said: "I want to point out that all of this has already been fulfilled locally and not the foretelling of Daniel 9:27, but it is just a pattern for what is going to happen in the end time."

Anyone care to take the path above for the time to come?

I'm thinkin' not for most.

ALL are always quite secure in their present 'rest.'

YES!!! FUTURE TO THEM, NOT TO US!!! The "day of the Lord" was the judgment of Jerusalem in 70 AD!

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. "Behold, your house is being left to you desolate! Matthew 23:37-38 (NASB)

Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. And He said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down." Matthew 24:1-2 (NASB)

When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. "For the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, and they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation." Luke 19:41-44 (NASB)

"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near. Luke 21:20 (NASB)

because these are days of vengeance, so that all things which are written will be fulfilled. Luke 21:22 (NASB)

And following Him was a large crowd of the people, and of women who were mourning and lamenting Him. But Jesus turning to them said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. "For behold, the days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.' "Then they will begin TO SAY TO THE MOUNTAINS, 'FALL ON US,' AND TO THE HILLS, 'COVER US.' Luke 23:27-30 (NASB)

"Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. Matthew 23:36 (NASB)

"Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place. Luke 21:32 (NASB)

Jerusalem's Temple was destroyed on the 9th of AV, 70 AD, and Jerusalem itself fell shortly after, just as Jesus had predicted some 40 years before, before that generation had passed!

THAT is the "day of the Lord" all the apostles were awaiting with imminent expectation!

Who is Chittim?
Cyprus, the Mediterranean Island. This was fulfilled in the events surrounding Antiochus IV Epiphanes, when the Romans sailed from Cyprus and told him to leave Egypt alone. That event is where we get the phrase "draw a line in the sand."

But don't take my word for it. Google it.

Try it with any chapter of the revelation from ch 4 onward.

Chapter 22 places all the events preceding it (chapters 4-21) in the context of "soon" and "near." Jesus would not have told John to write it if that's not what He meant!

Then prove it..

Go through the revelation and prove that all of it has happened already.. Show us exactly when it was all fulfilled..

How about Revelation 11.. Go through that chapter and explain when it all happened.

Or any of these chapters pertaining to the things which shall be hereafter and go ahead and show us how and when they are fulfilled in the past..

He said, "Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time. Daniel 12:9 (NASB)

And he *said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. Revelation 22:10 (NASB)

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son... Hebrews 1:1-2 (NASB)

The end of all things is near 1 Peter 4:7 (NASB)

Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18 (NASB)

You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. James 5:8 (NASB)

If Jesus did not come when He said He would - before the generation that lived to see His first coming had passed - then nothing written in the New Testament is true. Nothing. Because His second coming in judgment upon Jerusalem is what every apostle was anticipating based on no less than the very words of Jesus Christ Himself.

If it didn't happen just as He said it would, our faith in Him is grossly misplaced!

The assertion has been made that everything after Revelation 4 is yet future to us. I am about to demonstrate how that is patently untrue!

When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them." Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, WHO CREATED HEAVEN AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE EARTH AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE SEA AND THE THINGS IN IT, that there will be delay no longer, but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as He preached to His servants the prophets. Revelation 10:4-7 (NASB)

What is this "mystery of God" that was hidden? Is it future or past? According to some, this is yet a future event as is indicated by the vast amount of speculation that has surrounded the "seven peals of thunder."

The truth is this was fulfilled with the coming of the gospel of Christ!

Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; 1 Corinthians 2:6-8 (NASB)

And what is that mystery???

By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, Ephesians 3:4-6 (NASB)

This mystery - the gospel of Christ - was hidden from the prophets and the Jews so that the Gentiles could be brought into fellowship with God through the gospel!!!

For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; Romans 11:25 (NASB)

Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever." Revelation 11:15 (NASB)

To recap: when the voice of the seventh angel was about to sound, the mystery of the gospel was made known to the apostles who then spread it throughout the known world. (Romans 1:8, 16:25-27; Colossians 1:5-6, 23)

"This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14 (NASB)

When the voice of the seventh angel sounded, the judgment of Jerusalem began:

And the twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, "We give You thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who were, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. "And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth [literally: "land", as in the Holy Land. See Zechariah 12:10-14]." Revelation 11:16-18 (NASB)

FULFILLED!
