Atheist Hitchens Dead

I suspect God is rather more compassionate than many Christians who judge Christopher Hitchens.

So how are Christians "judging" Hitchens? There is no ambiguity in this case. The man openly mocked and ridiculed God and was nothing but hostel to believers. I suppose we shouldn't be so hard on Judas Iscariot either, right? :eeeekkk

God is a perfect and righteous judge. I have 100% confidence justice will be served in Hitchens case.

Sometimes what we feel on the inside is different than what we show on the outside. How many times do we hear about Christian church leaders' double lives? It is not our place to judge anyone. God knows us far more deeply than we can even know ourselves.

Makes refraining from casting pearls before swine rather difficult.

The modern Christian has become spiritually impotent with the "you shall not judge anyone" nonsense.

You really think someone like Hitchens or Dawkins, who have made careers out of publicly beating down believers, should walk through life with impunity and just allowed to fade away without commenting on the destruction and evil they caused in the lives of many? Do you have any idea how many people these kinds of men have lead away from God and eternal salvation?

It is nothing short of evil and the Devil's work. These men should be held up as examples and warnings to others. It is our duty as believers to resist evil and point out how the world and it's philosophy will lead you to eternal condemnation. You mock and deny God and Hell will be your destination.

does car guy know that hitchens for a fact didnt repent with his last breathe.

as hard as athiests are , jews are even worse to reach. i should know, my family is jewish on my dad's side. i mention christ to them, they will not talk to me on that.

we have kinda done that to them, we have killed them in the name of christ, we have used them and hated them in the past.

so as we are averted to athiests, they are to us.

Car Guy,

It's easy to agree with your statement above, but remember perfect justice has been handed down in the Christians' case as well, and I hope Hitchens sins were imputed to Jesus as well, even though we never saw any singns that they were.

Atheism aside; I rather liked Hitchens. His writing is so eloquent, and his choice of words so perfect that his compositions are both pleasurable and entertaining to read even for someone with only a high-school level of reading comprehension. Apparently an education at Balliol College really makes a difference in one's writing skills.

You know, I have to say: oftentimes the stuff I see posted online is so convoluted and so vague and ambiguous; and of such poor grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax that I honestly can't figure out what the person is trying to say. But not so with Christopher Hitchens. I actually hated to finish "god is not Great" because it was such enjoyable reading.

It is nothing short of evil and the Devil's work. These men should be held up as examples and warnings to others. By whom? Who in this life is worthy to hold them up? Certainly not I.

It is our duty as believers to resist evil and point out how the world and it's philosophy will lead you to eternal condemnation. Yes it is our duty to resist evil but is it our duty or righteous for us to use another soul as our podium?

You mock and deny God and Hell will be your destination. It would seem hell is already the destination for all of us except those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone.

Don't misunderstand. I am not declaring whether Mr. Hitchens is saved or not. That is for God and Him alone to decide. I also don't feel I am worthy to use his life as an example to pump up my own self-righteous ego. If he truly was lost, I grieve for him.

He didn't understand who or what God is. A lot of religious people, self described Christians included, act like they know who God is, but they really don't. He could have just been lashing out against the many false perceptions people have of God. I don't think its my place to judge or to harbor fantasies of people burning in hell.

Well said Sir. You don't have to agree with someone to admire their skills.

You don't have to disagree with someone to deplore their lack of care in composing their posts either. Hopefully the main culprit is reading this:salute

As for judging where Hitchens will spend eternity, that is not our place. Man can reasonably judge in matters of man-made laws only. Some think they know God's mind precisely and presume that they can stand in, in substitution for God, but they hold no credentials to do that. Such people are more than a little presumptuous.

I suppose you should let God do His work and you do yours.
