Audio Bible In a year

Hey guys. I am doing a plan from an audio bible that has us reading it in a year. I am of course on my favorite story: Noah and the GREAT Flood. Just got done with day 2. I am loving this plan. It ends next Nov.24. So it is going to be an experience I will never forget. And I can bookmark different verses so I can have them memorized. Or at least refer to them from time to time. I am of course listening to and reading the NLT version. What do you guys think of that?

I think it's a great idea. I have about an hour-long round trip to and from work every day, and I've actually started using the You Version app to listen to the Bible (KJV) as I drive to help catch up/get ahead in my reading.

My only complaint with it is that when my service cuts outs (which is about 5 miles from my house), I can't load the next chapter. Can I ask what audio Bible you're using?

I like listening to the KJ version, too. Seems like the ring of the words is helpful in remembering them.

Blessings.

Matthew G I use the You Version too. I have not had any problems so far with it.

Unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere, so my vaunted 4G gives up trying to find me when I get near my house - although as soon as I'm in range of my wifi there's no issues. It's a small complaint, but when the narration stops in the middle of a chapter because it didn't completely buffer, it gets a little irritating.

You guys have to commute, right? I guess a lot of commuters find that the signal isn't always so strong...

Blessings.

Well, I had to do the bible in Canonical order from Genesis to Revalation. I say the chronological order one went all over the bible and I don't like that. But since I read/heard the first few days, I checked them off so I could be at Genesis 12. I know I'm a bad boy. But I just want to be caught up.

I never tried any of the audio Bibles but I sure commend Christians for reading (or listening to in this case) scriptures in any form. So many studies and surveys have shown that so few Christians have actually read the entire Bible even once in their live it's pathetic. We all need to follow this example!

the bible's orders isn't in historical order when it comes to the mentioning of the chronicles of the kings , Samuel.

I was just mentioning that. honeslty even know I still learn things I was reading the book of john and in chapter 2 and noticed that the gospels are a commentary of what the writers saw and written in a jewish fashion. orally then written, with an oral tradition of verification.
