Awake at Night?

HE giveth HIS beloveth sleep

This is really going to sound silly, but.....

I initially read your quote as "HE giveth HIS beloveth SHEEP".

I have to admit... I started wracking my brain to recall where in Scripture sheep were given to His beloveth. Then, my sleepy brain thought "oh... some people count sheep when trying to fall to sleep ....okay ... I get it now."

A few swallows of coffee later.... it was an epiphany moment. You wrote "sleep" and not 'sheep'! Duh.....

I've always been a sleeper... I can drink (in winter) 4 pots of coffee & be out like a light without a problem. There are, however, times when I do have trouble sleeping...and that's usually due to either some stressful situation which I have resolved as yet .... or.... pets are insistent in gaining my attention. As everyone knows, it's all about the pets (cats) ... they so generously grant us favour to live with them!

:lol

Actually, funnily enough, it's lack of stress that keeps me awake. If I've been busy, I can get to sleep. But if the day has been very quiet and peaceful, the mind seems not to be inclined to switch off... (My two cents'...)

Caffeine, especially in it's natural form, is good for most people, but not all.

Also remember, it is a diuretic, so caffeine intake should be complemented with water intake.

I looooove caffine! If you drink enough of it you feel like you have lightening energy running through your veins! How do I know this? I once drank a 2ltr bottle of diet coke in one night. That was a paaaarrrttttyyyy! And deffinitly no sleep. Oh yeah and caffine keeps me awake at night.

:lol child's play. I single-handedly keep the entire Diet Coke franchise turning a profit. I drink two 2-liters of Diet Coke a day. I drink part of one before I go to work, one at work, and the rest of the one from the morning at night. :cryingI'm sorry... I get emotional when I talk about Diet Coke. I love it so much! My constant companion. :yes

And I fall asleep like a baby. Of course I wake up 4 hours later, probably because my body's craving more Diet Coke! :thumbsup

Um...I think you have a problem...or atleast an obsession :P lol

Stress doesn't usually keep me from sleeping if I really need to. I'll usually stay up too late feeding TV and internet addictions. Someone has to watch Seinfeld reruns and check out stupid/funny stuff online.

When I know I have to sleep for something big the next day or I should sleep and just don't want to, I can just lay in bed and make myself fall asleep eventually. It may take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, but if I stay in bed long enough, I will fall asleep.
