AIG's error is to suppose that the Bible is in error in translation. The difference is, the Bible divides organisms into functional categories, while science classifies them by descent.

So the Bible isn't wrong to put bats and birds into the same group (animals that fly).

It's just that science puts whales and humans and bats into the group of mammals, according to descent.

"Oph" can mean any flying thing. Why do you assume that the Bible calls bats 'birds'?
And no, I do not think bats look like birds. They look much more like winged rats. (theyre rodents)
