Being a Celebrity

vin diesel? when did he convert? he is a practicing homosexual.
I'd also question whether or not some of the members of Evanescence are Christian. Have you read some of their interviews and some of the language they use? Ben's new band is called, We are the Fallen and Amy's language can be quite "colorful" at times. :sad

I'd choose his heart over most do gooders in polite church rows any day. Just because you haven't been faced with the same temptation doesn't mean you're better because you don't fall to the same sin.

Sherri, you're more argumentative than you need to be. Seriously.

When Pat Robertson goes on record the day after 911 and says it's God's wrath poured out on a nation for bowing to homosexuality or right after Haiti's earthquake and blames it on their sin, he does anything but lift the body of Christ. Another story, not to get off topic. But the point is, Gibson has a responsibility, as we all do, but he is living a celebrity life and his lifestyle, which conflicts with his faith, is under the microscope. He didn't have an affair or make a bad decision. He hosed his original marriage and knocked up a girl half his age, remaining in a long-standing affair. All the other media escapades he's had are small by comparison but add up.

If you're given that kind of power, you have that kind of responsibility.

i was right to a degree, diesel is a bisexual. a bi can have normal hetero relationship and not cheat with the same sex.
and i doubt evanescence, that song wake me up inside isnt quite gloryfying to the faith.

.

Jesus was a celebrity during His time. (still is:heart)

The crowds of followers would never allow Him rest. Sometimes it got to be so much He had to withdraw. He had His own close friends though, ones He could be a normal joe with. Then He had His haters you know the ones who tried to kill them. Well jokes on them...

You are so right !
Jesus is the best all-time Celebrity and Hero ... yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

I would say the pope is also a celebrity .... he often waves his hands from his Vatican balcony to the roaring applause of his fans, pretty much like Micheal Jackson !

:chin

Dictionary.com - celebrity = a famous or well-known person.

Yeah, I suppose the Pope fits that description. ;)

Actually I think I'm just telling it straight.

When Pat Robertson goes on record the day after 911 and says it's God's wrath poured out on a nation for bowing to homosexuality or right after Haiti's earthquake and blames it on their sin, he does anything but lift the body of Christ.

And?

Another story, not to get off topic. But the point is, Gibson has a responsibility, as we all do, but he is living a celebrity life and his lifestyle, which conflicts with his faith, is under the microscope.

And his backsliding justifys your rejection and judgement of him? Wrong again.

He didn't have an affair or make a bad decision. He hosed his original marriage and knocked up a girl half his age, remaining in a long-standing affair. All the other media escapades he's had are small by comparison but add up.

Excuse me. Judging. Yes. Exactly what you're doing. Are any of his sins big enough to justify your attitude. No.

If you're given that kind of power, you have that kind of responsibility.

Actually every christian has the same rights regardless of how much exposure they might get because of their actions or job.

When you're God you can make judgement calls on all of them. But until then......

Why do you want to know if a celebrity is a Christian or not, and, moreover, why are you interested in their experiences as a celebrity-Christian? Are you a celebrity trying to fit-in into the the celebrity/Christian context? What is the motive behind this question?
I don't like your post.
