Here is a supporting scripture to that, we are able to cross the veil and operate within the natural and the Kingdom realms at the same time.
2 Corinthians 3:15-18
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.../
I've turned to the Lord. He's slooowly peeling back the veil for me. (I'm a slow learner so it's taken awhile, lol) After I was in that accident in my truck back in 09 and reached out to the Lord, and He saved me...I had four months on my back to reflect on just what happened out there, that He did respond and save me, so I began to become serious about walking with Him and learning about Him. One of the first things He taught me was that reading His Word and Praying are the two most important functions of a believer.
What do you mean by "we are able to cross the veil and operate within the natural and the Kingdom realms at the same time"?
2Co 3:12 Since we have such a hope, we are very bold,
2Co 3:13 not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end.
2Co 3:14 But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted,
because only through Christ is it taken away.
2Co 3:15 Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts.
2Co 3:16
But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. (ESV)
This is speaking of the veil of unbelief that is still on the hearts and minds of the Jews and which is removed upon faith in Christ.
Paul is referring to Exodus 34:29-35:
Exo 34:29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.
Exo 34:30 Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.
Exo 34:31 But Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the leaders of the congregation returned to him, and Moses talked with them.
Exo 34:32 Afterward all the people of Israel came near, and he commanded them all that the LORD had spoken with him in Mount Sinai.
Exo 34:33 And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face.
Exo 34:34 Whenever Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he would remove the veil, until he came out. And when he came out and told the people of Israel what he was commanded,
Exo 34:35 the people of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face was shining. And Moses would put the veil over his face again, until he went in to speak with him. (ESV)
You Brothers and Sisters are trying to tell me, that God's word is a liar? That I'm not being led into the truth? He promised to lead me into all truth. I don't read anything else hardly. No new age weirdo stuff. Do you understand how many times I pray to not be deceived or to deceive myself? A lot.
So this is where He's taken me. And I'm standing here being accused or suspected of occult-new age-worldly whatever...but these ideas came from scripture. So how do you explain that I'm so wrong, yet my source is only His Word? So He lied to me now? That's what it would have to be. I know that's not true.
No one is saying that God's word is lying. I am saying that while it is true that in a general sense the Holy Spirit leads and guides us, John 16:13 was for Jesus' disciples, those who were going to be charged with starting and leading his Church.
There is no promise to us that as long as we read the Bible and pray that we will come to--that the Holy Spirit will lead us to--a correct understanding of what the Bible says. Of course we should always pray for God's help in understanding the Bible but there isn't even one verse in the NT that says to pray for understanding of the Scriptures, so why people think that doing so guarantees they will have the correct interpretation and understanding, I do not know. We are told and shown to study and to learn from those whom God has gifted and appointed as teachers.
Act 17:10 The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue.
Act 17:11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. (ESV)
1Co 3:1 But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.
1Co 3:2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, (ESV)
1Co 12:28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third
teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues.
1Co 12:29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets?
Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?
1Co 12:30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? (ESV)
Eph 4:11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and
teachers,
Eph 4:12
to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
Eph 4:13
until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
Eph 4:14
so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. (ESV)
1Ti 4:10 For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
1Ti 4:11 Command and teach these things. (ESV)
2Ti 2:2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
...
2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. (ESV)
Heb 5:11 About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
Heb 5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, (ESV)
Jas 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. (ESV)
2Pe 3:15 And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,
2Pe 3:16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. (ESV)
So while we need to study on our own and pray for understanding, we are
never to do it all alone. We are
always to do it within the context of the broader community of believers, taking into account what conclusions others have come to. This is all the more important today when we are far removed from the historical and social contexts and when relatively few understand the Greek like the original audience did. Even then, there are difficulties in translation.
The biblical way of things, the way God has ordained our growth, is through the teaching of those who are called and gifted to be teachers. Does this mean we just take everything they say as truth? Of course not. They are still just men and we need to study the Scriptures ourselves. But we must realize that our minds are still subject to biases of all sorts, to fleshly desires, to deception, and worldly thinking. While we
think we may have the right interpretation, that the Bible is saying a certain thing, it could still very well be something of our own making and not what the Bible is actually saying.
This isn't about power to be able to do miracles or to be able to cross the veil into the third heaven and approach the throne. Those are gifts, grace.
What do you mean by "able to cross the veil into the third heaven and approach the throne"?
Don't give more credit to the enemy than our Lord. You do not have to be scared of it, (we have authority over spirits!) Use it. He has not given you the spirit of fear.
Who is giving "more credit to the enemy than our Lord"? What do you mean by that? Who is scared and what are they scared of?
