Definately Vault Zero is by far the best soda ever invented.

That is why I said it is the best "soda" ever invented :)

I stay away from colas, they are bad for you, you know. Plus, I just happen to have a refined taste for Vault Zero. It is such a complex soda.

But, for sake of the post, Diet Coke wins for me over Diet Pepsi.

I know cola's are bad for you, my grandfather said if you were to put your teeth into a cola overnight, in the morning they would have dissolved :o Kind of like a bad

Gosh... coke is Satan's Drink. Why do you think it burns?

Besides. I'm just going to loose my teeth eventually anyway, might as well enjoy the good stuff.

No problem at all. I have NO issues with presenting the truth about foods. Though it would have been better to start a new thread and link to it here, instead of derailing this thread. So when I come back from lunch, I will split these into a new topic and link back to them, unless you care to do so yourself. :)

Peace,
Vic

Here is the link to the split:

Pepsi was made to win taste tests. What they did was give people a small cup of Pepsi and a small cup of Coca cola. In these taste tests Pepsi won. But Coca cola still sold more soda. The secret to the taste tests was the fact that they used a small cup. In small amounts Pepsi tasted better because it was sweeter, while Coca cola tasted boring. But with a full bottle or can of soda, Pepsi tasted too sweet. I think now, a lot of people are used to having sweet things so some people like Pepsi better. I heard this example used in a sermon once about how people like the things that feel good at first but are not as good in the long run. I personally don't like soda too much. But when I do drink soda I like Jones soda, which I happen to think makes the best soda ever. So I wouldn't pick Pepsi or Coca cola.
I also found out something else about the nature of the taste tests in the Pepsi challenge. The labels were removed and replaced with the labels "M" and "Q". Pepsi was labeled "M", while Coca cola was labeled with "Q". Psychologists found that when the labels were switched, people liked The cups labeled "M", even if it was on Coke and not Pepsi.

 After spending way too much time in the cola archives my vote is for coca cola,
burn an all. Easy for me to say, or my name ain't turnorburn

Sorry, this post has nothing to do with the cola wars, (I did my part by voting Pepsi!) but I just want to say:

6640, your graphics are so totally, way cool! 8-)

Thank you handy :-D
I've been looking around more about Pepsi and Coca cola. On the Pepsi website the ingredients are easy to find. They even have a nice little drop down menu that allows you to select a specific ingredient and see a description along with a link to other sites like FDA, about those ingredients. Coca cola however mentions very little about their ingredients. When you go to ingredients and nutrition facts for Coca cola you get links talking about health subjects related to soda. I've even heard that there are books written about The secret ingredients in Coca cola. But one thing about Pepsi is that "artificial flavors" is defined no further than a comment about how natural ingredients are obtained, and a link to FDA. So neither website really tells you the important ingredients determining the flavor. The basic ingredients, like "high fructose corn syrup" and "artificial food coloring (with specific types of coloring defined)" are mostly identical. I happen to think that the secret ingredients are very close. One reason I think that is because of the identical taste. Many tests run by psychologists show that most of the decision comes from outward appearance, like when the labels are switched. I think most of the reason why one might like Coca cola or Pepsi has nothing to do with the taste. When I was little kid I liked Pepsi, I remember most everyone in my family liked Pepsi. And I remember liking the design on the bottles and the advertisements. But now when I go to a restaurant I order "Copepsicola?" or whatever they have I really can't taste a difference anymore.
