The above game is a vertical scrolling shoot em up by the way.

Mine falls in Battlefield Bad Company 2 and League of Legends.

OK, this isn't a "shoot-em-up" game...no one dies, nothing blows up.

It's the "mom jeans" of games...I admit that.

But, you have this little Zamboni...you have to slide these specific block of ice into targets...simple as that.

Myst Online:Uru Live. www.mystonline.com

It's free, and amazing. The latest Myst game by Cyan, sort of an MMO, but I always just use the multiplayer part as a way to socialize. It's based on exploration and puzzle solving, but is also a nice place to hang out with friends. Beautiful artwork. Very family friendly, too. I have made some really nice friends there.
