Sounds like you're looking for an electronic concordance to the Bible and the good news is that yes, there are many software applications available for this. I also use ESword not only because it's free but also because it's more than just a concordance and included dictionaries, maps, allows you to integrate your own comments from personal bible studies, easily allows comparison of different translations and helps you format your printing too!

Strong's Concordance (print) is the "standard" that is used almost universally so make sure that the software you get includes at minimum a module for Strong's numbers and definitions.
Online bibles (like BlueLetterBible) can also do word searches.

Just about all Bible software sold in Christian book stores these days include the very-handy word locator known as the Strong's Concordance. The better software also includes the Englishman's Concordance too.
Here's how the Englishman's works. When you look up the word "love" in the New Testament, the Strong's will not only show you every place it's located, but also accompany the locations with a special number that indexes Strong's Greek lexicon so you can see for yourself the Greek word from which the English word was translated. In this example; there are four numbers for love: 5368, 2309, 25, and 26.
5368 is phileo (fil-eh'-o) which means to be friendly and/or fond of.
2309 is thelo (thel'-o) which simply denotes a personal preference; e.g. I love orange marmalade but hate apple butter.
25 is agapao (ag-ap-ah'-o) which goes beyond friendliness and/or personal preferences; and means to be especially devoted to someone.
26 is agape (ag-ah'-pay) which indicates an over-abundance of agape; viz: going all-out and holding nothing back.
Now supposing of those four Greek words for love the one that interests you is phileo. Well; you just plug phileo's number into the Englishman's Concordance and it will pull up every place in the New Testament where phileo is located.
