Said our boss recently. Reminds me of the time;
* I was in school and teachers said "School inspector next week. Make sure all your desks books and room are in order!" It didn't occur to us that our teachers were the ones under more assessment than us
* I was a kid. Mum says "Aunt Vera is coming next week. We have to get ready!!" Aunt Vera commanded respect similar to what Marg. Thatcher might attract. Formal and took no nonsense. But yeah Mum was under more pressure than us.

It's always good to have your house in order, not so much to impress others, but to make you feel better about the quality of person you are.

It's like our Spiritual house that needs to be put in order so when the King of kings and Lord of Lords come He will see that we have prepared our house to receive Him.

Or when you are to go to him:

"This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover." - Isaiah 38:1
