Blessings i'm new here

I'm just a sinner SAVED by GRACE and called out of darkness to serve and give glory to CHRIST.
I'M BRAND NEW HERE-seeking fellowship and to learn how to properly use this site?
Welcome aboard.

If you look at others the way you look at yourself (in your introduction) then you should properly use this site. Every now and then I have to tell myself to chill. We forgive others and figure out how to deal with ourselves (Lord’s Prayer).

hello Brandond, dirtfarmer here

Welcome, you will surely find fellowship here. To properly use this site is to express your beliefs that the Holy Spirit has convicted you of by use of scripture, regardless of what other may say. All our beliefs should be based on comparing scripture with scripture and to try the spirits to see if they are of God. Always compare what others tell you with scripture before you accept their teaching. No one here on these forums are correct 100%of the time. We need to be dogmatic but not ridged to the point of not studying what other believe, even if it is contrary to our beliefs.
Proverbs 27:17, " Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friends."

Yes, that's true but speaking as somebody who's belifes come from the heart and not necessarily from scripture a hundred percent of the time,..don't worry about trying to fit in or disagreements. Trust me when I tell you that they are going to happen. Just be happy to be the man that God made you and stick with those belifes. Don't let anybody try to change the person that you are. The most important thing here is Jesus loves you so you should love yourself just as much. :hug

hello HelsRisen2018, dirtfarmer here

The problem is basing your beliefs on what comes from the heart and not comparing scripture with scripture as the basis of belief is explained in what God said in Jeremiah 17:9-10, " The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

When you base your beliefs on your heart and not scripture, how do you know what is true?

There is a very simple explanation to that and I really don't want to get too far into a debate about it on the guy's welcoming thread but the answer is; *drumroll* I don't. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but nobody actually knows a hundred percent what is true and what's not like you originally said. I just follow my beliefs and (even though a lot of them have to do with scripture) go with them. If anybody has a problem with that oh well it's theirs not mine. Anyway, everyone should spend less time worrying what I believe and just stick to what you believe. That's the only point I was trying to make.

Welcome to CFnet! :wave2
Your in the right community to have friendly discussions and make new friends. You will find that CFnet is the home to great Christians and some great non-believers.
I look forward to seeing you around.

and some great non-believers.
Hi MShultz, Somehow, that statement seems odd? I hope those that do not believe might find Christ within our fellowship and bible studies and how great God is. My prayers along with the brotherhood of believers is that they can see Christ in us, Amen.

Hello, I was trying to express that not all members here are Christians; I know from experience that some members on forums which are not Christian are a little arrogant, however in this forum the entire membership is polite. When I joined the website back in 2016, I arrived here a non-believer.
I probably didn't phrase my welcome that well; English is my second language. :wink
