“Breathtaking Beauty”
By Zach Wood
Psalm 19:1

Out of all the wonderful things I’ve seen through my years of life, nothing takes my breath away like when I see a beautiful sunrise or a sunset. I could be just taking a walk by myself, with my family or be in the car going somewhere. No matter when I see a beautiful view like that, I want to stop and just take that all in! I’m sure many of you feel the same about seeing a beautiful sunrise or sunset.

In a movie I saw many years ago, two guys were sitting on a hill chatting. They looked up at the beautiful sunset and one guy said, “Just look at that! Yep, that’s the big guy! Quite a paint brush He’s got!”

That scene has been forever sketched into my mind and it was a great scene! We could look at the beautiful view of a sunrise or sunset and know that God does, indeed, have quite a paintbrush, so to speak. I like the view of mountains and hills, but nothing seems to compare to see a beautiful view in the sky of a sunset or sunrise. It’s a beautiful view only made by the work of God’s hands.

Years ago, I heard another quote about a sunset and it went like this, “God, I never thought purple and blue went together until I saw You put them into a sunset.” What a response from a beautiful view only made by our Creator!

The heavens and skies do most certainly proclaim the work of His hands. He is the awesome, Almighty Creator! Let us always remember His beautiful Creation.

Yes His creation is most beautiful .... every so often a reminder is a good thing... Nice to be drawn away from the cares of the world/news to remember this is His creation... :yes

In the end the greatness of the Creation redounds to the glory of the Creator.

Great photo!

Some people seem to claim to be able to tell the difference between a picture of a sunset and a sunrise. But I can't.

I do prefer to be driving at sunrise, because the visibility keeps increasing. The other week in the snow I had to leave 4 hours in advance for my business appointment.

Blessings.

I have seen some sunrises that have been breathtaking. As I am headed to work and in my rearview mirror I can see the sun coming over Mt.Hood.The mountain is all black and the surrounding area is all ablaze with reds and purples. It is gorgeous.A physician that I know who has actually won alot of awards for his photography said he never leaves his house without his camera in his car :)

Wonderful!:) I think Mount Rainier must also be someplace close by. (The same name as the late Prince of Monaco...)

Blessings.

Kathi's photo is a sunset. It gets down to the "fade in fade out" of colours and the depth of the dark hues.
Working at sea, there's nothing more beautiful than one of His masterpieces with no smog or light pollution to dull its tones. An absolute tribute to His glory and I believe a great show of His love for us painting something to behold.

Hi Paul, you must know, particularly if you've been at sea a lot...

Blessings.

Hi Farouk, it's just that some of my best "alone with Him" time is spent watching the sun going up or down. if i take a photo (quite a collection now) I can pick the time without looking at the date / time reference. But yeah at sea at the end of a long watch, breath taken away/

You know what they say: geography is about maps; history is about chaps... :)

Blessings.
My son is a whiz at geography and maps. Also trains. He could tell you what train to take anywhere in the U.S. He is also very interested in the Canadian train system.

...what's left of it! :)

Crowsnest Pass in the history of Canada is significant. All about the government subsidizing freight, when cross-border trade would otherwise be more economic.

Blessings.
