Can we talk about anger?

Personally I like the fact that Christ got angry. When I read this passage it took away my shame for my own anger at injustice in the world. I don't see him having this one episode of anger as a problem. Christ did not become one with God until he returned to Heaven. While on earth ? he had a human body and a human personality. He just had more compassion than most humans. And he also had the power to heal which was divine. But then what do I know.

Christ, as God the Son, was always One with God. (John 17:20-22)

Nobody has ever been killed or hurt on my watch. You think that 35 years of carrying and I only have one story? What do you want to hear about? The attempted strong arm robbery of me & my (then) pregnant wife? The dog attack? An attempted home invasion at my house? You want to hear shots fired incidents or no shots fired?

And all of that without ever shooting anyone or becoming a victim of crime. That's a blessing and not a shortcoming my friend. Hopefully the impetuousness of youth will soon fade from you and you will learn that, discretion really is the better part of valor.

I'd be happy to tell you more stories if you want to hear them. How are you going to tell me that I'd get someone killed? How long have you carried? How many hours at the range or in training have you shot? (video games don't count man).

You're 'stories' do not interest me. You can make up as many stories as you need. I cannot know that they are true or not.

And, it doesn't matter. What I have said is true. You hesitate. You are going to get someone killed. You look for reasons not to shoot, not to kill.

In the stories you relate, there should have been people shot if not killed. As well as one dead dog.

Apparently you know plenty!

You are a conduit for me. A lot of things you say come from the Holy Spirit and bring me great comfort. If the truth be known I think you have more depth than you let on. Sometimes I think you hide behind your humor. I see something deeper. I encourage you to open up. I'm listening. No criticism intended. I care deeply.

Christ would not have been a fan of guns and killing even in self-defense

Christ would never be a 'fan' of anything or anyone. He is the One to Whom all worship is directed.

You say Christ would be against guns and killing. Do you believe there is a spiritual warfare that goes on? Do you believe lives are lost for eternity? Do you see the spiritual war as totally separate from the man and the physical wars and fighting he does here?

Your pacifism is nauseous. Jesus was no pacifist. He will be no pacifist. And when He returns, He will bring peace, after He has physically destroyed all His enemies. Read (Is. 63:1-6). Then tell me what it doesn't say.

Your Jesus is just another Gandhi. Not the Biblical Jesus.

Quantrill, you can be really mean. You are obsessed with scripture. You read it, study, it memorize it but you don't get the message which is to love each other. What you said to Humble Soul was just plain mean. And you called my peace loving ways "nauseous,." I am going to pray from you as I doubt you have many friends. In the future, resist the urge to insult others. This is the only way to show me you are a REAL Christian. Jesus made it very clear that we are to love our neighbor if we are to call ourselves Christians. Ask yourself if what you said is loving. Jesus is very important to me and he never said ANYTHING about your precious Bible. I am ready to go to war and I have on the full armor of God.

Everyone knows Christ was not a revolutionary. He was a man of peace. If you don't get this you don't get anything. Barabbas was the revolutionary. This "may be" why Judas was so disappointed in Jesus. Jesus said in the Beatitudes "blessed are the peacemakers." I don't know what you are reading, but it is not the story of Jesus. I think you just like to annoy people to push them away. Why do like upsetting people so much? What does it do for you to hurt my feelings? Does it make you feel smart and superior? Does this compensate for low self-esteem? I can tell because I used to be like you. But when I finally got my head out of the Bible and put God's Word into practice, God helped me embrace my fear of people and to let them in. Now, a few people actually me. Go figure.

P.S. I do not have evidence. I do not want evidence. I do not need evidence. I have my faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Listen to that small, quiet voice within, and then you will know God. The way you are now is not what God intended for you. He wants you to happy and uplift those who are suffering. He wants you to use your intellect to help people not put them down.
