And can we assume you were Texas born, texas bred, and that when you die, vyou'll be Texas dead? And not like one pretender here that lives in North Texas but is from virginia?

Good evening Sir,

Full disclosure. I was born and raised in New York to a very conservative Christian family.

I was commissioned in the US Army in 1989 and due to military service mainly at Fort Hood, have been a Texas resident since 1990.

I am now retired Military veteran, love Texas and settled here. Yes I will most likely die here and be laid to rest in the Central Texas veterans cemetery.

I did enter the State of Texas legally if that makes a difference and both my sons were born south of the Mason Dixon and have been 100% educated in Texas.

Can I stay? :)

By now with that attitude should have naturalized you. I, like yourself, am a 71 year old Army (1st Air Cavalry) Veteran. If you leave the state for any reason file you route with the Texas Rangers with your ETA fort return so we can go retrieve you if the yanks go nuts on you.

First Team! Veteran here too. Iraq.

I served with the 11th GS Avn in '66, the 15th TC in '67, and B Co 229th AsH in '68. My third tour was with the 120th Hdq. at Ton Son Neut.

Did you know anybody from 8th Air Cavalry specifically F Troop Blue Ghosts???
We worked some with them but by the time I had been sentenced to death in the 229th, I had already learned the hard lesson of knowing nobody so it did not hurt and if it doesn't hurt, it don't matter. Sorry but the only person's actual name I recall from then I Paul Edgar Hienen from Pipe Creek, Texas. He is the reason I learned not to know people. Finding him blown all over his tent made an animal out of me for three months.
