Those of his home territory likely many whom watched him grow up didn't respect him, as clearly shown by their actions. Jesus stated it point blank in the verse prior maam: Mr 6:4 And Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
