Isolationism is not a good plan in today's world economy. It has proven itself to be a failure. We do a lot here in the US and we trade world-wide. If you don't want us to use foreign goods, then the best thing you can do is not buy foreign goods. Anything that you can't buy US made that you want, you'll just have to make yourself or do without.
A lot of the reason for so many things being made outside the country comes down to competition. When foreign made products were placed on the shelves along side American made, people bought the foreign made because the costs were lower. As a result, the American companies couldn't compete. There could be multiple reasons for that including, but not limited to, economic differences, lifestyle differences, standard of living differences that affect labor costs and other things, government imposed tariffs, material costs, taxes, regulations, greed (both corporate and workforce) and so on but it is what it is.
