Christian Attitudes

I wanted to list a couple of bad attitudes we as Christians have-

1. Partiality- many Christian look down on younger Christians or those new to the faith. They use worldly prejudices instead of Godly discernment to make decisions.

2. Overly Conservative- Christians who are overly conservative can be very bitter and stingy. They think people who lead risky lives are ungodly and try to lead secluded lives. This is a form of legalism

3. Overly Liberal- They look at those who try to lead Christ like live as haughty, and "spoil themselves" on Grace. They always give provision for sin because " Jesus has forgiven them". When you call them out on it they have a view portions of verses they use to cover their tracks.

4. Blind Christians- they consider themselves Christian but only focus on certain parts of the word. They usually condemn conspiracy theoriast and pacifist. They will not listen to anyone whom they have deemed as foolish.

:rant:sad

Now before I get flamed I honestly fall into one of those categories. We should strive to be different than this world. Why do we remain stagnate. One of God's first commandments was to be fruitful .

5. Dishonest Christians - Those who bear false witness and/or twist others words in order to completely mis-represent their position in order to attack them. This is the worst kind...and constant offenders simply should not be tolerated.

Elijah here: What are you saying, are you for banning yourself?? Personally I think that this is one of the best ways for forum readers to sort out Gods Truth from satans just quoting it, with not caring to OBEY it! Matt. 4:6

And anyone that would post up just a part of one sentence from another persons post to make it appear as you have, is indeed a person from beneath as you agree to below.

Glad to see you can finally admit it.

Oh and....I have a screwball delivery for you. You seem to be running out:

:screwloose:screwloose:screwloose:screwloose:screwloose:screwloose:screwloose:screwloose

In which CITY was our Lord Jesus crucified? Rome or Jerusalem?

Popquiz!

The only thing I'm guilty of there is not comprehending your post (As usual) if the above was not your intent.

I just spotted that line and replied to it.

The rest of theat sentence was:

So Peters church was at Jerusalem & [is Babylon.] I was born in Mich. but am now a southerner because I live here, & Worship here in the south??:screwloose

Which doesn't make sense. I was born and raised in England but now live in Thailand...does that make me Thai?

You bolded the red text so I replied to it.

Please make your posts clear and use valid arguments if you dont want crossed wires.

Do people look down on young or new Christians? Don't think I've seen that myself but having said that they did seem to judge when I was a lot younger, I agree with you about using worldy prejudices though, it's so easy to do especially if you're caught up in worldly debates

2. Overly Conservative- Christians who are overly conservative can be very bitter and stingy. They think people who lead risky lives are ungodly and try to lead secluded lives. This is a form of legalism

I agree although I think it's better to be this one then overly liberal

Yeah 'gain the whole world and loses his soul' comes to mind ...

They're everywhere ...

You shouldn't be flamed you made very good points - we should also consider this as we are still sinners striving to be good until Jesus comes ...

Sometimes it often seems we look out for the world more than we do ourselves. I think the Angels rejoice when new believers come, but woe when someone falls away.

If a house is divided against itself how can it stand? How can more people move in?

I feel discriminated against because of my schizophrenia I cant lead a Bible study, but he said it was "really" because of my lack of biblical knowledge.

Then some of us don't allow each other to have bad days...:nono2. Don't complain..ya know.

I found there is one habit worse than any other not showing love:

love doesn't care if i am wrong, pride does
love accepts correction and love wants whats best for others.

someone should be able to walk away after what you wrote and feel good.

limiting god and others to your interpretation of the bible Isn't a good habit either.

I did not know that some had that attitude except for number 4.

When will we love one another? When the government has taken away our rights, our places of worship, torture us, and murder us?

Sadly, it seems like it's the only way the division will finally end. It's hard to hate your brothers and sisters when you're forced to depend on them for survival....

The Church have always made more progress under persecution.<O:p</O:p

i dont condemn pacifist. that would be stupid. i merely disagree.

and being a former conspiracist i neither condemn them.

calling somebody wrong on that isnt the same as saying that they arent saved.

that would be like calling an evolutionist that is saved not a christian but i can and do say that he is in err as that is bad bible exegesis.

Oh but ridicule is a form of condemnation:

Those who say we are a wus because we don't believe in being in the army have a distorted understanding of what it means to lead. The thing is a soldier does not lead he obeys order......a soldier is brain washed to do as he or she is told.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Solomon the wisest man said that a person that has control over himself is greater than a man with an army that can take a city.<O:p</O:p

really? that disclipine is actually praised the by lord when that person called jairus talked bout the lord having authority.and telling to go and another come.

the lord said that man had faith as he understood how the lord works.

so soldiers just kill at will? really. i watched civilians do thing that you all would call cops about and was told not to interfere. why? jihad would occur. that takes alot of restraint.

do any of you work in a prison and have urine feces thrown at you?
and not attack that inmate but rather are told not to do anything but report it and then wait till the order comes down to move that inmate. or if that inmate is in solitary that sentence is just added to.

if you do violate that command then you are punished.

what about when the civilians you must control so that they can get food gets irate. do you just punch him. nope.

rather i have told him or he calm down.and that act accordingly if he calms down no problems if not then go the next level of the matrix. does that mean that we have no use for force if they wont listen, nope.

i cant use more force then is necessary,

thats discpline not brainwashing

we soldiers dont just die and not think about why may die.

i question all my soldiers that are new why are you here? why? can you take a life, is it wrong? are all muslims bad? why do want to fight in the war.

i use messed questions that i wont repeat here. i need to know if they want to serve. i respect those that dont. and tell them they should get out if need be.

some say that we christians are brainwashed as we accept the authority of God and dont even question it! hmmm that sounds real familiar. i bark an order that is defined to be lawful and the subbordinates do it.

God tell us and we go. not much difference.

Jesus was not praising him because he was a soldier but because he understood the principle faith. In other words, faith is having the authority to make things happen. Jesus gives a command and things happen.....people are heald. <O:p</O:p

exactly as that is how faith works not a brainwashing. but knowing that object you place your faith in is greater then you and you trust it and place that objects will above yours and do the bidding

that is what soldiers do.

i dont agree with my co policies and i often will criticize in private the leaders decision but i will obey them.. if we are honest we do the same with god. we often dont want to go where god send us but we go,

and that wus thing was joke nothing more.

trust me. i was far more passive then some of you.

i wouldt defend myself very well in any confration as i was too timid nor would i stick up for myself and was picked on a lot in highschool for that and other things.
