You are right, I have to get another TAMA stand where the legs can twist around, I had one before. I am going to get another one very soon, that way the pedals can be right next to each other.John said:If it works for you then there is no problem. But for me i do not think it would be comfortable.
In regards to the pedal/footboard by the looks of it, it would be very hard to transfer quickly enough from the double pedal to the hi hat. I have mine almost touching.
One of my friends imported a two-legged hi-hat stand (not including the pedal) from the US and it's awesome. Much more freedom.
