most muslims have guns, we don't out number them. i'm not counting the air craft and tanks, just weapons, the same with cops, they are outnumbered. you cant just ignore the context of what was going in.

show me in the bible that being a soldier is a sin? if so where does it specifically say it? two swords for them? its what they had at present. did all twelve all the time travel together? NO!!!!!!!! paul and silas, john and peter.

okay, what we have hear is a failure to communicate. see the post #94 and what I said. im not saying to fight and spread Christianity via the sword as the muslims do.
 
What's wrong with fighting back if you are attacked? (Or your charges?) One can be a pacifist and still fight, it's just in defense is all. Some don't think that Jesus struck the money changers in the temple? I bet He did! He was defending His father's name and house, His charge so to speak.

There's a difference between taking a punch and defending ones charge or a more vicious assault than a single punch. Jesus was largely pacifist when He was here, but was on a specific mission at the time. Next time He comes back, it's going to be different. He's bringing His sword this time.

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword./(KJV)

I think it's ok to be armed, and to fight to defend. But that doesn't mean that one should idolize their guns, or to be anxious or trigger happy. David had his sling, and the Apostles had a couple swords, but more importantly, they had the Spirit of the Lord with them. Be led of the Spirit.

I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
