uhm, no he didn't. he was INNOCENT of any charge given and simply put to death for a crime he didn't commit. that is hardly standing up for his rights. He also didn't judge anyone at the time, save the Pharisees which if you really listen, they could have repented. some did. see the book of acts where it mentions it.I couldn't agree with you more.
Jesus did more than stand up for His rights...
He died for what He believed since the rulers of the day were against Him.
while i am not a fan of mocking Jesus, I also don't believe it should be a crime. if you don't want to hear it, don't watch any show that does that or listen to a song. if a person is saying it front of you then tell them but also be aware our mocking of their gods will be seen the same.
which will then seque in political correctness , just in Christian favor. before this, It might have been bad to openly mock Jesus but those that didn't believe in him, hardly were gonna follow Jesus because that moray, if laws converted the lost, the cross wouldn't be necessary.
