Coffee

About half the time I'm OK with the Folgers and Chock Full O' Nuts kind of every day coffee. But, the rest of the time I want my favorites.

I spent a good portion of my adult life in the coffee business.
I got spoiled drinking the best.
Now I'm retired and I roast my own as a hobby.

What did you do while working, and who did you work for?

Brazilian is better than Honduran.

Kroger Sumatra ain't bad either but you have to get the whole bean and grind them.

Looking forward to some in Europe.

Most of my time was with Autocrat out of Rhode Island.
Then a couple of small companies, then Superior which was the biggest and then they were bought out by Sara Lee.
Now if you want quality coffees you go to the small companies that Sara Lee doesn't consider competition.

becareful REBA has the POWER
Reba, I've never seen to do all caps on your own name before.
I guess I hit a sore spot, eh?
Poor girl, I'll ask Ralph to give you a visit to cheer you up.

I'm a big fan of Costa Rica dark roasts, but I recently tried a Rwandan/Columbian blend, which was pretty good. Dark roast all the way, too.

Straight black. We buy bulk Starbucks and make it at home. Whoever says you like your coffee strong, I confidently challenge your notion of "strong". Heat is the only factor that keeps my coffee in a liquid state. Once cooled off, I use it to section off my safe house for the coming zombie apocalypse.

Yes, we must be safe.
Ralph once spoke of the coming zombie apocalypse.
