Creation and Earth's Age

So the Earth was NOT created. If it is the same age as God... then on some level you are saying that God and the Earth are the same.
So that kinda makes you claim to be a heathen/heretic or pagan.
God created the heavens and the earth, and He was there in the beginning. God is eternal. Why don't you sleep on it for a few nights while you gather your thoughts? I'm through with this conversation. Bye.

Hi Dorothy Mae
1. The universe has a beginning. agreed
2. The universe is older than earth. the empty black 'space' of the universe is, but none of the heavenly bodies that we see in it. needs defining
3. The earth is older than the life forms in it. agreed
4. The animals and plants are older than man. agreed to a point. They are only older by a couple of days.
5. Life forms are constructed by information, that is, a plan dictates how a life form is made and functions. agreed
6. That information is coded onto or within a structure that itself has no other function. not sure that the Scriptures have anything to say on that point,
7. Coded Information comes from an intelligent mind, except scientists as individuals will not admit this in reference to origins unless. so then by the statement made, they are not in agreement on this issue
a. They believe in God or. ummm there are likely some born again men who have chosen science as their career, yet. But all, overall? no
b. They are intellectually honest. Well so is Donald Trump. He believes that he's right about everything, too.

However, none of these points of agreement really give any evidence or particular creedence to the
account of the creation event that is found in the Scriptures.

God bless,
Ted

Have you read the preceding discussion that led Dorothy to say that?

Hi Cooper

Ummm, I thought I had kept up to date on this thread. Was there something I may have missed? I mean, I'm the poster immediately preceding her comment, but I may have missed some point that you apparently think is relevant. Let me know what I missed and I'll check my comment for any errors that might arise because of it.

God bless,
Ted

I wasn't meaning anything you posted particularly. It is a long thread and the breakthrough comes near the end. Everything that can be said has been said and I am content to leave it at that and let the beauty of Jesus be seen in us all as we study His word. May God bless His word to our hearts. Amen.
