I will say this one more time and that is it. I am finished. The Hebrew word for day is yome and it means a period of time up to and including always, continually, everlasting, perpetually, and in the process of time. The heavens and the earth were not made in 168 earth hours.

God spoke to us in the Hebrew language, and yome in Hebrew means a period of time. The 'day of the Lord' is eternal.

A day was 'good' when that part of creation was complete. It took more than 24 hours calculated by our earth clock which is different from heavens clock.

So you want 100 Billion years between verse 1+2?

Do you believe that coal beds are several million years old? ... Yes (assumed answer)
Are there thorns fossils in coal? ... Yes
Did God state that thorns were the result of mans sin? ... Yes ... Gen 3:18
Did Adam live for millions of years after sinning? ... No


So either "science" or God is the truth... not both.
Or you haven't thought your faith through with any great deapth.
When push comes to shove... who do you follow? God or "science"?
Because so far on this post... some of you are saying that you follow "science" before God.
Maybe you don't know that is what you are saying... but that is what the world is hearing... and why they can't take creation seriously.
The world sees hypocrisy in the Old Earth Creation idea... Why can't you?
