Scripture Of The Day - Christ Living Through You

1 Corinthians 1:30 - "And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,"

Sanctification does not mean anything less than the holiness of Jesus being made ours manifestly.

The one marvelous secret of a holy life lies not in imitating Jesus, but in letting the perfections of Jesus manifest themselves in our mortal flesh. Sanctification is "Christ in you." It is His wonderful life that is imparted by faith as a gift of God's grace.

Sanctification is not drawing from Jesus the power to be holy; it is drawing from Jesus the holiness that was manifested in Him, and He manifests it in us. Sanctification is an impartation, not an imitation.

Question to ask myself: Am I willing to believe Jesus for the sanctified life in Him, that He is living through me?

Scripture Of The Day - Jehovah Rapha - The Lord Our Healer

Luke 13:16 - "And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?”

The teaching that says that sickness is actually a blessing in disguise, because the Lord is working His plan in one's life is not found in scripture. Nowhere do we find Jesus refusing to heal anyone. His actions are proof enough that it is always God's will to heal!

Jesus provided for physical healing as well as forgiveness of sins. The very word save (Greek "sozo") is translated "made whole" in reference to physical healing. James 5:15 says "the prayer of faith shall save (sozo) the sick".

Many scriptures mention the healing of our bodies in conjunction with the forgiveness of our sins. Healing is part of our salvation, just as much as the forgiveness of our sins.

It is God's will that no one should perish, but many do because of their unbelief. Likewise, it is God's will that we all be healed, but not all are healed because of failure to believe.

Scripture Of The Day - The Measure Of Your True Potential

Romans 8:11 - "If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."

The measure of your true potential is in your spirit. God has always intended that we would always live from the inside -- from the spirit-man in communion with the eternal Spirit of God. Without that relationship, you are limited to the potential of your soul and your body. "For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit" - Romans 8:5.

The calling in Christ for your life is written in the book described in Psalm 139:16. Discover and understand His purpose for your life.

"that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes your of heart being enlightened, in order for you to know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,- Ephesians 1:17,18

Scripture Of The Day - The Love Of Christ Flowing Through You Into Others

John 7:38,39 - "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive..."

Christ calls us to believe in Him, confident that the Holy Spirit will work powerfully in us according to the measure of our faith in Christ. The surest way to remain filled with the Spirit is to focus our attention on Christ.

Begin every morning in the presence of God and there commit yourself to Christ, trusting Him to accomplish His work in you.

Thank the Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit, which enables the love of Christ to flow through your spirit into others.

Scripture Of The Day - Learning To Love The Silence

Psalm 62:5 - "For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him."

Our world today is very noisy, busy and at times stressful. When you feel stressed or frustrated, go somewhere that is silent -- your soul will begin to calm down. Inner peace and quiet are vital for hearing from God or sensing the direction He wants us to take.

Outer silence helps promote inner silence. Learn to love silence and you will be more inclined to hear the still, small voice of God. At a time when Elijah desperately needed to receive direction from God, he had to wait until all the noise passed, and only when he was in a gentle stillness did he hear the still, small voice of God speaking to him. (1 Kings 19:11-12)

Scripture Of The Day - Yielding To Obey

Acts 9:6 - ..."Lord what do You want me to do?..." (NKJV)

As soon as Saul was willing to yield, he was in a condition where God could meet his need, where God could display His power, where God could have the man (Acts 9:1-22).

Maybe you are searching for God's purpose for your life. The place of yieldedness is just where God wants us. The main thing today that God wants is obedience. When you begin yielding and yielding to God, He has a plan for your life, and you come into that wonderful place where all you have to do is eat the fruits of Canaan.

It is the calling of God in Christ on your life that counts. God wants to stir our hearts today to obedience. Our response should be, "Lord what do You want me to do?"

Scripture Of The Day - Refusing To Let The Word Slip

Hebrews 2:1 - "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip."

You can really slip into unbelief about the promises of God. And when you do, it will cost you dearly. Hebrews 4:11 tells us, "Let us labor, therefore, to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."

We must labor! Not by working with our hands or feet or struggling to get God to do something, but by spending time in God's Word -- hanging on to the promises of God by faith, day after day. We must labor by harkening to the Word and refusing to let it slip (through affirming and meditating).

Don't get casual about the Word. Instead, dig more deeply in the Word than ever. Be diligent to keep your faith from slipping -- and you won't have to fall!

Scripture Of The Day - Breaking Free From Others And Taking Charge of Your Own Destiny

Ephesians 4:1 - "As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received."

Observing others can help us set the bar of excellence hight for ourselves. But at some point, there must be a breaking point -- where one respects, admires, and learns from others but then turns inward to be what God called him to be.

You have to know for yourself that you have been created with gifts and skills and made for a purpose to advance His Kingdom. When you know who you are in Christ, you can be happy for the success of someone else.

You are grateful to have examples to gain information from; but you also know that there's a point where you break free from following others and live out the destiny in Christ for which you were preordained.

Scripture Of The Day - We Are One With Christ

John 16:14 - "He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you."

Christ promised that the Holy Spirit would flow as living water from those who believe in Him. The fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Christ in order that the life of the Godhead might dwell in us.

Each new day we must begin with this conviction: Christ and I are one and the Holy Spirit will make this a reality for me. As the branch is in the vine, so we are in Christ and He in us.

In Childlike faith, fix your heart upon Christ and trust that the Holy Spirit will reveal Christ to you and in you. You will be able to confidently say, "Christ and I are one! Christ is my life!"

Scripture Of The Day - Fixing Our Heart Upon Christ

Scripture Of The Day - Free In Christ

John 17:17 - "Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth."

John 8:32 - "If you continue in my word, then are you, my disciples, indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

We don't belong to sickness and disease. We don't belong to the money lenders. Debt ties us back to the world's system. That system is cursed by the same law of sin and death that curses everything else in this natural world.

First Peter 1:23 says we have been born again by the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. Your future is inside you now. Your future is in your heart and in your mouth!

The Word of God will keep us free as long as we stand on it, confess it with our mouths, and feed our spirits with it continuously.

Scripture Of The Day - Counting The Cost

Luke 14:28 - "For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?"

The parable of the man building a tower is a continuation of the teaching regarding what it takes to be a disciple of Jesus -- this parable stresses commitment. It takes a forsaking of all to be Jesus' disciple.

Jesus is simply saying, "count the cost." Just as a king wouldn't engage in war (verse 31) without thoroughly considering all the possible outcomes, so no one should attempt to become a disciple of Jesus without counting the cost. It would be better not to start following Jesus than to start and then turn back.

No one should be fearful of making a total commitment because of some imagined problem. There should be a willingness to forsake everything to follow Jesus. Once we make that decision, then Christ begins to live through us (Galatians 2:20) and we find a strength that is not our own.

Scripture Of The Day - Powerful Time Of Increase

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

As the glory of God comes, there’s also power. In Acts 1:8 it says, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;….“ As you TURN UP YOUR EXPECTANCY, this will be one of the most powerful times of increase that will come from the glory and the power of the Lord in your life.

This increase will come as a result of God’s Glory and God’s Power that you encounter fresh every day.

Go into this season with a HIGHER LEVEL OF EXPECTATION than your previous season – the Lord is going to strengthen you, anoint you, empower you, and favor you to see even greater increase in this new season of time. In His glory and power, there is no limitation.

Scripture Of The Day - Bridge Between The Eternal and The Temporal

Galatians 5:25 – “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

John 16:13 – “However when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth.”

Jesus ignored what His natural eyes told Him, and He declared what His spiritual eyes saw. He saw the heart of God and the mind of God which was far more of a reality than what His physical senses told Him.

Faith is the bridge between the eternal (the unseen) and the temporal (the seen). In prayer, we can cross that bridge and see as God sees.

Real prayer is not just words, but intently waiting on God until we (by the Spirit) see what He is seeing.

Scripture Of The Day - Real Faith

James 1:22 - "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."

One of the greatest enemies of faith is what is called "mental assent." People who operate in mental assent read the Word and think they believe it. But when pressure comes, they don't act on it.

Real faith believes what the Word says even though your eyes and your feelings tell you something different. Faith doesn't care what the symptoms are. It doesn't care how the circumstances look. Faith in God's Word will change the symptoms, it will bring the money to get the bills paid.

So determine in your heart today to speak God's Word out your mouth and to speak nothing contrary to that Word. Don't be a mental assenter. Be a mighty person of faith.

Scripture Of The Day - Walking In the Full Knowledge Of Our Salvation

Ephesians 6:17 - "And the helmet of salvation..."

If your salvation is not worn tightly around your mind like a helmet, the enemy will come to chop the multiple blessings of your salvation right out of your theology. He will try to hack away at your foundation, telling you that healing, deliverance, preservation, and soundness of mind were not really part of Jesus' redemptive work on the Cross.

Many believers try to do the work of God without making it a personal goal to walk in the full knowledge of their salvation, and they are spiritually compromised as a result.

We must spend time studying what the Bible has to say about healing, about our deliverance from evil powers, about God's desire to bless and prosper us, and about our authority in Christ in our everyday lives.

Scripture Of The Day - Functioning Like God

Genesis 1:27 - "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."

When God made you in His likeness, He did not make you to look like Him. He made you to function like Him. That's what likeness literally means. When God created you, He made you to operate like Him.

If you are not functioning like God, you are "malfunctioning" because God wired and designed you to function like Him. How does God function? "Without faith it is impossible to please God" - Hebrews 11:6. God functions by faith.

We were designed to operate by faith. God sees in you the potential to dominate, rule, and subdue the whole earth. "Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over...all the earth..." - Genesis 1:26. Thus, if the earth in any way is dominating you, you are malfunctioning.

Scripture Of The Day - Established In Christ

Psalm 73:25 - "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you."

In the Old Testament Abraham, Moses Elijah, and David. gave themselves wholly to God, without reservation, so that He could accomplish His plans through them. Should we not, therefore, declare that there is nothing on earth or in heaven that means more to us than He?

As fully as God gives Himself to us, so fully does He desire that we give ourselves to Him. Without an appropriate surrender on our part, He cannot manifest His power.

Entirely connected to God! What a privilege that is. How wonderful the grace that calls us to it! How blessed the separation from the worldly, and work, and all that might draw us away from God. Ask Him to establish in you that which pleases Him.

Scripture Of The Day - Allowing The Holy Spirit To Manifest His Life And Power Through Us

Acts 13:52 - "And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit."

What is our attitude regarding allowing the Holy Spirit to manifest His life and power through us? Are we thirsty? Are we longing? Are we willing to pay the price?

Are we willing to forfeit in order to have? Are we willing to allow ourselves to die so that He may live? Are we willing for Him to have the right-of-way in our heart, our conscience, and all we are?

Are we ready to have God's deluge of blessing upon our soul? Are we ready to be changed forever, to receive the Holy Spirit, to be filled with divine power forever?

Scripture Of Th Day - Confessing Believing and Receiving

Mark 11:23,24 - "...shall not doubt in his heart but shall BELIEVE THAT WHAT HE SAYS shall be done, WHATSOEVER HE SAYS SHALL BE DONE unto him. Therefore I say unto you, whatever things you desire, when you pray, BELIEVE THAT YOU RECEIVE them, and you shall have them."

Believing is an action word. Just before Jesus told us in Mark 11:24 to believe that we receive, He told us in verse 23 that we "we shall have whatever we say." Put those two together and you'll see what a powerful thing it is when you actually say the phrase, "I believe I receive."

Something happens in your spirit when you say those words. When you constantly say with your mouth, "I believe I receive my healing," or "I believe I receive my financial needs met," and then quote the scriptures that back those things, faith is released to bring power to bear in the areas of those needs.

When everything looks the worst, we say it the loudest, I BELIEVE I RECEIVE!
