Daniel's Seventy Weeks

Unbelieving Jews who reject Jesus as Messiah desire to build the third temple.

They believe if they build it, he (their messiah) will come.

And he certainly will.

Unfortunately for them it will be the false messiah; the man of sin, the lawless one.

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

  • And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie

You keep saying “God doesn’t dwell it temples made of hands”.

No one says otherwise.

The elephant in the room is God is the One sending the strong delusion.

God is allowing the antichrist to pose as the Messiah and work false signs and wonders on purpose, to bring about a strong delusion. Because they stubbornly reject Jesus Christ as the true Messiah.

God Himself is doing these things.

God Himself is allowing the Third Temple to be built for this very purpose.

If you choose to ignore this then that’s on you
Sorry, I must have misunderstood you by the way you were saying all of this in your replies as I thought you were in favor of a third Temple. We are in agreement as it will be a waste of time and money to build something that God will not honor.

I’m certainly not in favor of a third temple.

It will happen though.

I could understand if God allowed them to be confused but there is more to this in that God somehow sends them delusion.

He did it in the Old Testament.

“If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
Deuteronomy 13:1-4

for the LORD your God is testing you
Wait, I thought God knew everything. Why would He have to test us?

In Hasidic thought, the mystical dimension of the Third Temple isn’t just about a future building—it’s about cosmic restoration, divine presence, and the inner transformation of the soul.

The teachings of the Baal Shem Tov, sees the earthly Temple as a mirror of a heavenly Temple—a spiritual structure that already exists in the upper worlds. The Third Temple is not merely to be built, but to be revealed when the world is ready.

Jesus said to pray Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. This is a part of the liturgy in the churches.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

It's only those Jews who have rejected Jesus as Messiah that will try and build a new Temple and start up the animal sacrifices again. Even if they do build one God is not going to dwell in it.

I think a lot are closet christians. They do not make a public profession but they let on that they do believe in a coded sort of way. Although many do not study religion at all.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

2Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Exactly, the teaching that our confession saves us according to Jesus is not true. But to confess that a person is born again does not mean they really are.
Only God knows the heart of a man/woman in who are His own.

Only God knows the heart of a man/woman in who are His own.
Only God knows the troubles we have been through, only God knows the sorrows we have seen. Only God knows the true heart of a man or woman—who belongs to Him, who walks with Him in quiet surrender. Only He sees the sorrows we've carried, the silent battles, the hidden tears.

When we look at David—a man who sinned, even orchestrating death—we still find him called a man after God's own heart. That alone should make us pause. God saw past his failures and into a heart that longed for mercy and truth.

And Paul, once the fiercest enemy of the Church, later confessed himself the chief of sinners. His radical transformation confused many, and yet it became one of the clearest pictures of redemption. God didn’t choose him because he was worthy—but to show how deep His grace can go.

This tells us something vital: God's judgment isn’t based on appearances, nor limited by our past. He sees the clay and the masterpiece it's becoming. His grace doesn’t ignore the wound—it heals it into testimony.

None of us are perfect, but being perfected daily trying to walk in obedience to God's commands as we walk and are being led by the Holy Spirit.

1Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Cor 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Cor 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

So you don’t believe what the Lord said here, that He was testing them?

This plainly says God is testing you.

Do you believe what He said?

So you don’t believe what the Lord said here, that He was testing them?
The question is: Why did He need to test them? Even man can create things with a very low failure rate. The answer seems to be that the ability to fail God is what makes us human. But that still doesn’t make much sense to me—though perhaps it’s not meant to, since God tells us to lean not on our own understanding.”

Swing and a miss, nice try though. David’s sins—adultery with Bathsheba and the orchestrated death of her husband Uriah—were grievous. By the law, they were punishable by death. And yet, David was not only spared—he was still called “a man after God’s own heart.” How?

He didn’t just feel guilty; he turned back to God with his whole heart. And God, in His grace, received that brokenness and began the work of restoration.

So yes, the grace of God perfects us—but it begins in the soil of humility. David’s story reminds us that even the worst failures don’t disqualify us from God’s love.

Bro,

You are asking the wrong person. I didn’t write the scriptures.

Ask the Holy Spirit why He needed to test them.
