Bible Study Day of the Lord

I am sure you know God watches over every word we say and we have to be very careful. My father was a doctor and he used the power of suggestion and positive thinking with very good results.
Yes, as our words can bring us life or death.

Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Jas 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

The word of God can not be denied, but many do deny the truth.
Yes, but for us what matters and prevails, and is more important, is what the Word of GOD says:-1Corinthians 3:11-13:-> 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

Our Lord JESUS said: Matthew 15:13:->Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

And Matthew 12:35-37:
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Yes, as our words can bring us life or death.
It is amazing how we help keep one another alive or how others help sustain us. I often wonder about the Law of Attraction, the philosophy that suggests positive thoughts lead to positive results, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes. Interestingly, even those who do not believe in God or prayer can still experience positive outcomes simply by maintaining a positive mental attitude.

However, when it comes to salvation, there is only one way to be saved—through Jesus Christ. David teaches that while one can strive to be good under the law, it takes more than goodness to be truly right with God. Paul expands on this idea in the Book of Romans, emphasizing:

> Romans 3:10"As it is written: ‘There is no one righteous, not even one.’"

This verse echoes the message found in Psalm 14:1-3 and Psalm 53:1-3, which state:

> "There is no one who does good, not even one."

Many people misunderstand the distinction David and Paul make between being good and being right with God. While goodness may come through human effort, true righteousness is only possible through faith in Christ.

Those scriptures show us how we are to be doing the works of the Lord and not of ourself. If we are walking in the Spirit then we will be guided by the Holy Spirit.

Anyone can be a good person with good intentions, but if they are not Spiritually born again and indwelled with the Holy Spirit they are none of Christ own.

Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Yes, for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life. What does the Word of GOD say? Galatians 5:25-> If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. And 6:8->He that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting, but he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption.->JESUS said: Matthew 15:18-19: -> 18: Those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, false witness, blasphemies, murders, adulteries, fornications, and thefts:
