Define: Friends

Ok, my introverted self gets a lot of my dosage of socialization online on forums like this one. So I tend to get attached to the people on those forums and often feel like we're friends if it feels like we interact a lot. But going by that I suppose my definition can be rather loose.
This year one of the people I really liked as a person--friend crush I call it--suddenly started talking to me and I ended up being a part of her friend circle. I already liked her and had talked to her a few times before, but it wasn't until I was invited into her circle that I was defined as a friend.

Anyway, does anyone else get friend crushes? For me they feel a lot like regular crushes (at least from the one time I had one of those), it's just you just really strongly want to be friends with a person. I get those a lot. I asked my brother if he ever had one of those and he just told me I was weird, lol.
