Detroit Lions are on the Threshold

Another victory for Detroit! By George, they're gonna go to the World Series!

Well tomorrow is the day......my prediction is a high scoring game, but the Pack will come out on top in the end. Also the 49ers loose....that would be nice too. :D

Nacho, can we agree on something? Can we agree that the referees in this game should be brought up on charges of collusion and sent to prison for the rest of their lives? Can we agree that if it weren't for the referees, the Lions would have won about 785-3?

I say charges should be brought up on the referees. I also think charges should be brought up on that offensive lineman who made Suh jam his foot down on him. Why would he make him do that?

If all the crimes hadn't been committed by the refs and the Packers, I would say that Packers deserve all their props. I would say Rogers seems like a level-headed guy. I would say he is a Hall of Famer quarterback. I would say they are are the class of the NFL.

But I can't say all that, because the referees were wearing Packer swag underneath their referee uniforms and purposefully trying to prevent the Lions from winning. ;)

Brett who? :D

Well....well....here is monday and I feel really good for some reason.......I just can't put my finger on it, but I just have an extra strong urge to smile today.

Maybe its because of all the turkey and pumpkin pie I ate this weekend?????? NO.......oh I know.....its because the Packers handed the Lions their rear-ends on Thursday....yep that must be it!!!! :yes:yes:yes:yes:yes:D:D:D:D:D:D

Packers are cheaters.

Getting back to topic, the Lions won today and swept the Vikings on the season. :) That's the good news. The bad news is the Vikings never should have been close, and without an obvious blown call on the last play of the game when Levy grabbed Webb's face mask and nearly tore it off his helmet, they would have lost. I was certain the Vikings would score the go ahead TD when their drive first started, and it looked like I was right, but Webb coughed up the football and the Lions recovered it... about 60 yards down field. :-)

Game over. Lions are 8-5.

It's worth considering that the Lions' defense was absolutely depleted. Suh (suspension), Delmas, Houston, Fairly, Jackson (injuries) didn't play. This wasn't even a shadow of the Lions defense.

Next week is Oakland on the road. Suh comes back from his suspension, and hopefully the others head up. The Lions are still in the thick of the playoff hunt. They'll make it if they can pull of a win or two down the stretch. :thumbsup

My beloved Philadelphia Eagles won today. If anyone can explain this unexplainable phenomenon, please contact Ripley's Believe it or Not.

Could the pack go undefeated this year???? Sure could!!!!

Do I care if they do???? Nope!!!!

I think they should rest their players the last few games of the season.

If they do that, then your Lions might have a chance.....maybe....but a small one at that. :-)

I mean the Vikings almost beat them......the Peterson less vikes at that!!!!:nono2

Leaving yourself an out, eh Nacho? Gripping a little bit? :)

... without half their starters on defense, including the All-Pro defensive player of the year last season. Oh, snap! :D

Its the Vikings.....the 2 win Vikings.....it doesn't matter if you are missing half your starters......If you can't stop the vikes offense without Peterson no less then don't plan on stopping any Playoff caliber team offenses. If Peterson would have played I think the Vikes would have won.

Packers should see if the cheerleaders want to suit up against the Lions for the last game just to make it sporting. :lol:lol:lol:lol;);););););)

Oh the Eagles won and the Cowboys lost, doo, dah, doo, dah.

The Can-Do Cats did it again and won another nail-biter! They are definitely looking good for a playoff spot, and that's part of the process. The playoffs this year, and with a good off-season, a serious run next year. They were still a M*A*S*H unit on defense yesterday but still found a way to win. :thumbsup

Equally as noteworthy, I won the championship of my 12-man fantasy football league last night! Yes, "Who's Your Daddy" are the Champions of the Immanuel Grid-iron Gladiators Fantasy Football League (IGGFFL)!! :thumbsup :thumbsup

It's over, Mike! The Indianapolis Colts are having an incredible rally, and no ne else has a chance.

The 1-13 Colts won their first game in fifty weeks yesterday.

It;s official, Folks! The Detroit Lions have clinched a wild card berth! They have one last regular season game, and they will be a wild card whether they win or lose.

And the Eagles beat the Cowboys! We won our Super Bowl!

This was a game for the ages! This will be the day that the Lions start a new chapter in their competitive legacy. This was a beatdown. Pure and simple. Beginning to end, the Lions kicked SD around from the beginning to the end.

They had 5 straight wins to start the season, got a little frustrated, and now they've rattled off 3 straight games.

This is not your fathers Lions!!!

Vince, I'm sorry about your Eagles, but now you can focus better on your "other team". The Lions are looking sharp at the right time and looking to do some damage in the playoffs. :yes

The Honolulu blue and silver have successfully turned this ship around, and the rest of the league is now seeing this ships ugly side. As I kick off my regular update on what's happening with the Lions, I am very excited to watch this team manhandle many on their schedule.

This week, we learned something interesting. Tom Brady spent more hours studying Suh, than he has on any other player in the last 2 years. This is before Nick Fairley from Auburn joins Suh on the line. They have already been renting space in the heads of opposing quarterbacks. Suh (The House of Spears) and the rest of this defense have gotten into the heads of the quarterbacks they will be facing. That is good news. ESPN said the Lions might well be the most heavily fined team in the NFL this year, all thanks to the D-Line. Another writer claimed that Suh is a dirty player. That is spectacular. Keep righting those stories, and keep filling those QB's with worry.

This is not your daddy's Detroit Lions. :thumbsup

Mike, I’ve taken the liberty of going to the ESPN website to see what sort of year your Lions are having so far. I see they are doing well.

Wondering why you pull for them, I checked your profile to confirm a suspicion: that you are from Michigan.

I see the following obstacles in the way of your winning a Super Bowl:

If Colin Kaepernick is allowed to play QB for the 49ers, the 49ers will give you difficulty. (I was going to say that they’d beat you, but that sounded rude.)

If the 49ers don’t beat you, Tim Tebow will give you difficulty.
