[_ Old Earth _] Dhmo threat

A DHMO release in Louisiana recently killed at least 13 people, and made a large area temporarily uninhabitable. Although it doesn't often get headlines, it has become one of the major killers in the United States.

This chemical kills over 3,000 Americans a year, making it about 2,000 times more dangerous than terrorism in our nation. And yet, there are no requirements for shipping, purchasing, or use of this chemical.

It is readily available almost everywhere, in spite of its potential for mass casualties when released.

Imagine allowing such an acid like hydric acid to be consumed. It will make Flint ,MI look like nothing.
 
Well, the magazine articles are a work of fiction.

If even a portion of this article was true it would be plastered everywhere and insanity would have broken out.

It's a scare piece... something to incite fear.
 
Everything in that article is absolutely true. Everything Jason and Jim said is true. Granted the amount that comes out of your tap isn't likely to hurt you, but the chemical still kills thousands of people a year in the U.S., and there are no long-term studies on the effects of small amounts of DHMO ingested over a period of years.

At the state level, Oklahoma has adopted some environmental regulations governing the use of DHMO, which has literally shaken the industry like an earthquake.

Pray it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. You don't need to know where I grew up, but as children we learned how to weaponize handfuls of DHMO. We actually thought it was fun and looked forward to it every year. Thank God nobody died, but we were just kids and not really trying to kill anybody, just murder them.

The internet is full of photographic evidence that they've found DHMO all throughout the wreckage of the Titanic. You'll never convince me DHMO didn't in some way or another play a part in that disaster.

The evidence suggest that an uncontrolled release of DHMO into the hull of the Titanic was the secondary cause of the disaster. Solidified DHMO was the immediate cause, as it produced a rupture in the hull itself.
 
DHMO has been falling steadily from the sky for two days now and doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. Our reservoirs could be filled to the top with this stuff. Where, oh where, is FEMA???
 
A huge release of hydric acid, chemically identical to DHMO, once wiped out almost the entire human race except for a handful of people and mere pairs of each individual animal species. It happened a long time ago. Don't believe me? It's in the Bible.
