I'm not a vegan (I couldn't live without milk chocolate or cheese or eggs, long list, etc.) but rather a vegetarian, albeit I am a rather odd one. I love fishing (catch and release) and I strongly support hunting, mainly because I think it's better to hunt rather than to eat animals from the farm. My main concern are the living conditions of the animals, which, put rather bluntly, suck. That's why I prefer hunting, as the animal gets to live naturally before it is killed, and it gives the human an appreciation and respect for nature.
I don't force my diet on others, I just can't imagine eating meats anymore.

Okay, well I eat just about everything.

Similar, but off road a bit. What about people who by everything organic. We have several friends who only by organic milk for example. These people tend to be very be very condescending if you don't agree that there are harmful additives to food that isn't organic. Personally, I think there are people getting rich off false urgency. People spend so much more for food that is supposedly cleaner. I hate to be a "back in my day" pessimist. I never want to be that guy. But people ate and drank non-organic food for a very long time. In fact, some of the kids in these organic families aren't exactly the picture of health.

These tend to be the people who won't take even a Tylenol for a head ache.

Just my two cents. :twocents Hope I didn't offend any organic members. If I did, have a glass of organic milk and forget about me.

I see what you mean about the organic stuff. They are a lot more expensive than regular stuff, and we know a family that only does organic stuff and their skin has an orange tinge toi it. No thankyou! As you said, people for a long time have done pretty well without the organic stuff.

Maybe they are just naturally orange skinned? :lol I do not eat organic, but I have "orange skin."

No, they're not naturally orange skinned. It appears that it is their diet.

Man this conversation is turning a little wierd...:lol

Have you ever seen the prices just for organic vegetables? A lot of people are really being taken for a ride, IMO. :shame

If they are into a lot of carrots, juice or other high vitamin A stuff, it could do that. While I think the RDA of 5000 units could be improved upon (say 5 times as much), it is possible that if one's hung up on the carrot juice they can be getting hundreds of thousands daily, and maybe causing another imbalance. The fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E) can be overdone, although it has to be very much.
