The Bible: "As a man thinketh, so is he."

And....... Philippians 4:8 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable.
Well I think I'm a tiger, rawr!

There's not much we can come up with in all our enlightened "thinking" that has not already been covered in the Bible, thousands of years ago.

Do you have a difficult mother? One who nag's, worries and guilt trips you everytime you talk to her. Is she constantly judging you, and disapproving of everything you do. Does she treat you like a 8 year old child, and never listens to a word you say.

Do you have a mother like this, because I do and I don't know what I'm going to do.

Are you still living at home with her?

When you said this i thought maybe you were..

Do you have a mother like this, because I do and I don't know what I'm going to do.

No. My mother passed away in 2001 at the young age of 62.

If I had a nickle every time I thought my mother nagged, worried, put guilt trips on me, and didn't listen to a word I said I'd be retired by now. Oh, how I wish she was still around to do it to me all over again! :neutral

I'm not you wip.

I posted and then saw this post by Willie. I think we are both saying the same thing.

I don't know how old you are so please don't take this as an insult and I don't mean this to make light of your questions but you sound like virtually every teenager or young adult that ever lived.

OMG Really!

Again, I post another topic for the community to discuss a serious issue affecting millions, and the whole thread becomes centered on how to turn the non believer.

Let me rephrase it a little. This is not just common with teenagers or young adults. My wife is 55 and my mother-in-law is 74. My wife and her mother go round and round all the time. Just this past weekend we were visiting and at one point my wife complained to her mother about how she is always "sticking her nose in where it isn't needed." To which our daughter, with a certain flair of sarcasm aimed at my wife said, "Oh, really?!" My brother-in-law and I both chuckled at that comment. :lol

I'm having serious deja vu.

It's like I am watching myself from above, and I don't like something.

:)
Being 17 when i married i let my M-I-L bully me... put up with it year after year... We would leave and not visit for awhile all the things like that that people do, the it is ok she is your mom line..... After about 35 years of it i had had enough.. i turned to face her and rip her apart with my mouth i had family history i could have used...... One of the few times i believe i saw a vision from God...When i turned to look at her she was like a little wet bird trying to get out of the shell.. I do not remember what was said after that i do know i did not 'get her' at that point she was too old to fragile ..i was never sorry... . I do know i learned i should have stood my ground in 1964 and not allowed my self to be treated that way .. it would have been better not just for my self but the whole family..

I wish i had set some personal boundaries long ago..

What did you expect to find on a Christian forum, we were all unbelievers at one time..
