DISCIPLESHIP, Starts with studying the words that Jesus spoke. JESUS said, "If you live and abide in My word" another version says, "If you continue in My word", another version says, "You are truly My disciples if you remain faithfull to My teachings", Disciple when translated means, A personal follower of CHRIST, as one of the 12, glory to GOD, you see child of God, when Jesus came down from heaven to earth, He came with a legacy of truth in words, words for our strength. As Nehemiah said, "For the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold", and Jesus said to His disciples, "these things I have spoken to you that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full", and another version says, " I have told you these things so that you will be filled with My joy, yes your joy will overflow".well what did Jesus speak? WORDS, and where do you find the words of JESUS?, in Mathew, Mark, Luke, and especially JOHN, the disciple whom God gave His reverlation to write, the disciple who Jesus loved, the disciple who Jesus entrusted His mother to, the disciple who Jesus wants to remain alive till He returns, so this boy has got his credentials from GOD. JESUS said, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My farther will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him, he who does not love me does not keep My word, and the word which you hear is not mine but the farthers who sent Me, these things have I spoken to you while being with you. But the helper the Holy spirit whom the farther will send in my name, He will teach you ALL things, and bring back to YOUR rememberance ALL things that I said to you".But child of God if you don't take time out to read or listen to the words of JESUS, then there will be no truth inside you for the Holy spirit to bring back to your rememberance, and the words of JESUS =FAITH=GRACE, So if you want Grace you need Faith, and in order to have Faith youneed the words of JESUS. Faith, love, and Peace is ALL you need JESUS has done all the hard work, and all you have to do is fight the good fight of FAITH. :amen

disciple831, another excellent post. You are correct its all about faith and faith coming from the word. That is such a stumbling block even to God's elect in this day and age as most after they are saved by grace take over their spiritual life and make their own decisions based on an infant's understanding of the word or they let some sectarian preacher know the word for them and that means their belly is their god now and that is a choice God allows us to make to test our faith. We either serve the Lord from his word only or we do our thing our way that seems best for us.

I believe this is the biggest problem why we have such a huge falling away from the faith today and we have over 38,000 denominations that have been born of the woman who sits on many waters.
