Bible Study Dispensations

So we are not under the law?
So murder is not a sin
Adultry is an ok thing
We can worship any god we choose
Covit and stea.ing everyday not a problem
Do we celibrate oursins? There must not be sin .
Of course we aren't under law, we are under grace.

Should we go around sinning now with Christ in us? We are to be as Christ, God has called us to be Holy.

I am sure others will disagree, but the Bible says we have the law written on our hearts. But if we were under law the Bible also says we would be judged by the law and breaking even one law would be breaking the entire law.

God ushered in grace because the law could not bring about righteousness nor make us Holy, only the blood of Christ can do that.

Do you still believe we are under law? Following all 600 of them?

Speaking to my point DavidC He has written the law on our hearts .. the law is still there..

FYI guys i am one week out of knee replacement as said to Eugene pain and pain meds so be nice to me :tongue

Dictionaries - Easton's Bible Dictionary - Dispensation
Dispensation
(Gr. oikonomia, "management," "economy").

  • The method or scheme according to which God carries out his purposes towards men is called a dispensation. There are usually reckoned three dispensations, the Patriarchal, the Mosaic or Jewish, and the Christian. (See COVENANT, Administration of.) These were so many stages in God's unfolding of his purpose of grace toward men. The word is not found with this meaning in Scripture.
  • A commission to preach the gospel ( 1 Corinthians 9:17 ; Ephesians 1:10 ; 3:2 ; Colossians 1:25 ).
Dispensations of Providence are providential events which affect men either in the way of mercy or of judgement.

Dictionaries - King James Dictionary - Dispensation
DispensationAn arrangement of things; a scheme.
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: that in the DISPENSATION of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him. ( Ephesians 1:9-10 )

DISPENSATION

dis-pen-sa'-shun:

The Greek word (oikonomia) so translated signifies primarily, a stewardship, the management or disposition of affairs entrusted to one. Thus 1 Corinthians 9:17, the King James Version "A dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me," the Revised Version (British and American) "I have stewardship entrusted to me." The idea is similar in Ephesians 3:2 parallel Colossians 1:25 (the Revised Version, margin "stewardship"). In Ephesians 1:10 God's own working is spoken of as "dispensation."

Hubby was in a head on collision a few months ago. Thus far he's on Tylenol 3. What are your pain meds if you don't mind me asking? As the current one's he's on barely touch the pain.

Father God, I lift reba up to you in prayer, please bless her, heal her quickly, let the recovery and healing process be with minimal pain. Thank you for the advancements in medical procedures so people are able to live a better quality if life and have joint replacements. In Jesus name we pray.

*****The law uncovered what sin is, dispensationalists believe the law is not written on our hearts yet, but will be written on the Isrealites hearts, in the Kingdom, Eugene can correct me if I am wrong.

We are under grace and following Christ, not under the law nor following it as the law was fulfilled in us, Christ is in us, so we are actually able to be obedient to the law.

There are probably books 1,000 pages ling to explain it.

I am not good at explaining things, sorry about that. ☺

Thank you everyone for your input into this topic. It has closed some gaps I had regarding dispensations. There were holes needing explained to me.

It still remains out there for me, but at least I am better eqiupped.

Thanks again. ☺
