divorce vs nagging wife Proverbs 21:19

Which is the right step towards the thread title? Live with that terrible wife (or husband) or get a divorce?

For a non-christian, doesn't matter. They don't serve God anyway.

For a Christian that serves God, there are only two legitimate reasons to divorce, and nagging isn't one of them.

Pray for her to be saved so she develops a quiet and gentle spirit.

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 1 Peter 3:3-4 NIV

God is working out patience with you. If you are Christian, you are not to divorce. But if you are married to a non-Christian they can leave you. 1 Corinthians 7:15 But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace.

Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Mat 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses

Certainly. However the verse seems to give more emphasis about such a woman

MALACHI 2:15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
MALACHI 2:16 For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

God hates divorce. Period.

God is working out patience with you. If you are Christian, you are not to divorce. If the unfaithful does leave, God will not hold you accountable of divorce. However it still does not give the right for the faithful to leave the faithless. (MATTHEW 19:7-9)

I believe the title scripture is referring more to a church then an actual wife.

EPHESIANS 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Also note that divorce brings nothing but, trouble to a youth.
