Do Animals Go To Heaven ?

Pay close attention to verse 21. Ecclesiates 3:19-21 19. "For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21. Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?" The non-eternal spirit of animals, and the immortal spirit of men, and they take two separate and distinct paths at death. Because man is made in the image of God, he goes upward, but the spirits of beasts are absorbed by the earth. i.e., they cease to exist. And in point of fact, it is because he has this rational soul that man can justly be cast into Hell, and animals are not. Animals simply return to the dust when their life on this earth is over. By contrast, God's Word makes it abundantly clear that the souls of men and women will live for eternity, either in the Kingdom of heaven, or in the Hell of the lake of Fire. Matthew 18:3 3. "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Can an animal become as little children in Jesus Christ, and be converted? The answer is no, they are not humans, they are beasts of the field. Can a dog believe in God to inherit life, or were animals created as a help, meat, to be used in sacrifices, and for the temporal service of man, whom God has placed to rule (gen. 1:27-28) over them? The answer is obvious. John 3:5-6 5. "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." Can an animal be born again of the Spirit? The only rational answer is no. Is an animal clean? God says no. In fact, In scripture God uses dogs and Pigs to illustrate that which is unclean. Can anything be cleansed without blood. Again, God says no. Therefore, for an animal to enter heaven, Christ would have had to die for them as well. And when we start thinking like that, we start having to add to scripture, and making up our own laws and rules to support our thoughts. We've then fallen from Grace and are making an image of God, rather than worshipping the God of the Bible. Animals were subject to the curse which God placed upon creation because of Adam’s sin. And so not being cleansed by the blood of Christ, it seems clear animals do not go to heaven.

It is clear

Why do you limit God and all the blessings he gives to us? If it was first in heaven

Hi Relic, I've read a lot of the posts and, in my opinion, your's I like the best. I guess, at one time or another, we all limit God because His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. In 1 Corinthians 2:9 it says "What no eye has seen, nor ear hears, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him." That quote from Isaiah 64:4 has several meanings and I like this one because we can't limit God, as you say.

Another thought is: The domestic dog is a subspecies of the grey wolf. In Genesis 6:19,20 it says "And every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the arc to keep them alive with you". Perhaps the grey wolf was one of the species and the re-population of the earth after the flood, seems to me a type of re-population of the new heavens.

Now, the question is, what dog (pet) will make it? If I open the door to my imagination I would say, only a Christians pet would go to heaven and only if that Christian would ask Jesus for that blessing.

Lastly, Walt Disney said so, "all dogs go to heaven". He's got to be an expert, right?

I have a friend who says that if his dog isn't in heaven also, that he will turn away and not enter heaven. He's one of these guys that constructs his idea of heaven and doesn't seem to be interested in the truth, only what he wants.

:screwloose :naughty :shocked!

I pray for him.
So what is important to him is the salvation of the dog' which is not possible. And if your friend does not want to go to heaven unless the dog makes it' h does not belong there anyway.

I found this interesting in an inter-linear. The raw English from Genesis 1:21 for and every living creature that moveth translates as every-of soul the-living the-moving. On could argue, if they have a soul, the soul lives eternally.

So if dogs wouldn't go to heaven, where would they go? I personally think that they would go to heaven though..

Ecclesiastes 3:21

Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

What are you basing that on if I may ask?

I'm not sure, I have always been told that they do, but dogs are God his creation and all that, but I am not entirely sure because they don't really like.. Have a personality? Does that make sense? Or would it be more like "dogs don't have souls"?

Skillet' did you read the above Scripture' it is cut and dry

Oh sorry, I didn't read it. Hmm, wouldn't they mean something else with "the beast" then? And why would God create animals and then send them to hell?

Right now I'm of the opinion that animals have no capacity for spiritual, moral relationship. But that doesn't mean we moral/spiritual creatures can't have their company and pleasure in the kingdom, just as we do now, and as Adam did in the garden. I hope God restores some of the various animals I've had over the years to me in the kingdom.

Call me a sentimental fool, but I like to think the 'Rainbow Bridge' is really how it's going to be.

Lewis, what does pro gun and right wing mean?

Lewis, what does pro gun and right wing mean?
Pro gun means i think we have a right to have them' and that I have a right to use them to protect my family and myself as written by the fathers of this land.

left-wing = the radical, reforming, or socialist section of a political party or system.
right-wing = the conservative or reactionary section of a political party or system.

Originated in the National Assembly in France (1789-91), where the nobles sat to the president’s right and the commons to the left

So if I stand next to you, does that make me a leftist?
