do men always want young partners?

I never dated anyone over the age of 22. I never planned it that way, it's just the way things worked out.

Not long ago, I received an invitation to an upcoming Christmas season wedding. The groom is 62. This will be his second marriage. The bride is 34. This will be her second marriage as well. She has 2 young children. His oldest child is 39; the youngest of his 3 kids is 33.

I'm 60 and my husband is 48. When we married it was for the love of Christ we saw in each other first and foremost and knew after dating for only three months that we were evenly yoked in love and not lust. Age has no barriers when you know in your heart that God has placed both of you on the same path to meet. We met in July, started dating in Sept and got married in Jan a little over three months later and will be celebrating our 17 anniversary Jan 3, 2015. What God joins together let no man separate.

That is great.What is age?

I guess also age is relative. I read that in old Hollywood, 30 was about it for the actresses. Either you've made it big, or...that's it. Downhill from here. How crazy is that?

Of course, that's Hollywood, back in the day. Still...remember Breakfast at Tiffany's? I've read the book, never seen the movie. Holly Golightly was 29, which is important because...again...3-0 was just around the corner. Of course...she was played by Audrey Hepburn, who was then in her early 30s, lol.

I think its also part of a bigger cultural issue. Our culture is youth obsessed, but we live longer and produce fewer children. So, fewer people are actually in their youth (I'd call youth 18-24). How obsessed are we? I've heard dudes say that it's "all downhill after 25." LOL.

I would trade the older body I posses for my body at 25.

Age might be more of an issue when the woman is 18 and the guy is 38 but when you get older age is not a big deal.

We will have perfect young super bodies in heaven. That is something to definitely look forward to.
I don't know what our new bodies will be save a few hints.

A revelation of the glorification of some in heaven is given in Ezekiel Chapter One, and as to differences Eze 1:14 says: The living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

Who are these living creatures? Ezekiel described them as "Living Creatures", but John saw them as the "Four Beasts" in Revelation. Where and how did they appear in heaven? In Rev 5:9 they sing that Jesus had redeemed them to God by His blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Glorified? You can bet on it!

When I was young I liked dating older guys.It just seemed to me that the guys my age seemed more immature.

Same here. Although I'm only 25, I do relate very much to this. I know that age doesn't necessarily ensure maturity, but in many cases, it does. I can't seem to relate and enjoy men around my own age...I always tend to find myself attracted to and relating the best with men 8 to 15 years older than me.

My dad didn't get married until he was 39 and he is 16 years older than my mom. My brother is 10 years older than his wife. I am the same age as my wife.
