Joking aside, I was brought up that as a wife you took care of the house like cooking, cleaning and laundry and taking care of the children. The husband was to go work to financially support his family and take care of the yard work. I've never been a girly girl, but more a tomboy type. I'm a plain ole country girl and love doing for my husband. We never had any kids so I did work for many years to help support us, but had to quit due to disabilities. I always put my husband first above my needs as after all he works hard and is also the Spiritual head of our household. God made me to be a helpmate, not a door mat, to my husband and that is what I enjoy being. I am only his equal as being evenly yoked with him. I don't need equality, I just need someone to treat me right and appreciate me.

I wore them in the very beginning of my marriage. But she had recently moved to America and only knew maybe 6 words of English when we met. (no, no, no, thanks, and please) Lol.

As she became Americanized (sigh) she got pretty big for her britches. Like an idiot, I didn't stand up to her enough. The house was her domain so I let her run it as she saw fit. A mistake I realize now.

I can see it. I used to post in it. Been awhile. I'm used to putting everything in the Lounge. That saves violating the different rules of the different forums for me.
