Do you drink coffee?

I wish! Surgeon wouldn't approve that, tho he did understand the reasoning. Instead, I have to make that pot of coffee each morning, which means heading downstairs to the kitchen, so no lounging about in bed for me. It might be entirely different if my younger cat was able to make coffee for me ... but he doesn't have opposable thumbs in order to do so. Go figure.

I used to work with a Muslim from Bosnia who said they made coffee out of hard rocks of coffee that they dissolved in their cups. He said it didn't bother him at all and could sleep like a baby.

Do you know how much caffeine is in coffee?

How do you people do it?
Caffeine is my worst enemy.I do not do anything with caffeine in it.I do white tea because it has the least caffeine of all the beverages and it really does not bother me.
Very low blood pressure is how I do it. Even had doctors advise that I drink a pot of coffee before getting out of bed in the morning, and another pot of coffee before getting behind the wheel of a car to drive.
Low blood pressure?A bag of pretzels and a quart of water should do the trick. :)

I have seen people drink a couple of cups of coffee before they went to bed. They said that they slept better. You and I are just wired differently than them :)

That's my kind of doctor!

I drink coffee black.
I have tried 8 O Clocks Hazelnut and its good.
I tried Duncan coffee, but it doesn't taste as exquisite as the commercials say.
I am trying Starbucks, and its better than the above two.
I dunno what I'm gonna try next though.
Any suggestions?
Morning Angel, have you tried Espresso? It can quickly capture one’s taste buds that near nothing else can equal in the world of coffee. It may take a bit of acclimation well worth the effort, and the caffeine of the average serving is less than that of a cup of regular brewed coffee. :)

Coffee has soooo much caffeine in it that 'less than' would have to be 'a lot less' for it to make any significant difference compared to other beverages--even Mountain Dew.

What really bothered me about coffee/caffeine as a Christian was how it is the legal drug of choice to replace sleep, exercise, and a balanced diet in order to have the motivation and stamina to earn a living. For me there's just something wrong with that. It's so...so...artificial. It reminded me of all the stars and entertainers and musicians that we idolize who rely on the power of their cocaine and other drugs to be great and maintain their talented, energetic, inspired superstar images. That's so phony to me.

The flip side to that is taking sedatives to get the rest they finally realize they do need after bingeing stimulants all their life and then finding out that when they hit their late forties and early fifties you can't drive your body mercilessly forever without it one day refusing to take another step. And for a big mega star trying to maintain their image of greatness, and the payday it brings, that is devastating. So off into the world of sedatives they go, and some kill themselves that way.

I'm thankful that I am. If I hadn't had such adverse affects from it, I'd probably still be driving my life in the pursuit of things by the stuff.

I'm drinking green tea this morning. Heavily sugared and creamed. Ahhhhh.....

Don't worry, you're not a downer. We're confident in ourselves and don't need validation from others. You don't like coffee? OK, so what.
Oh no....I LOVE coffee. But my lack of tolerance for it helped me see how Western society uses it to get, and hang onto, all the great stuff in life, and live lives so contrary to what God wants.

I suggest our confidence is in our morning cup of coffee, instead of what God would perhaps like us to put our confidence in (godly, responsible living). So it is in that sense that I say, we need to wake up and smell the coffee, lol.

I'm drinking coffee right now. i drink it from sunup to sundown. It doesn't interfere with my sleep or anything. Just a dash of creme please. I can drink it black but prefer a little cream. No sugar. I read sugar blues. :shock

What really makes me kind of laugh is the people who point their finger at those who are smoking cigarettes, having an occasional alcoholic drink and then they drink a pot of coffee a day.I guess they do not realize that caffeine is a drug.

So have you ever tried tea? What is your beverage of choice now?Water?
Green tea, or hot chocolate. I like a hot beverage in the morning.

Through the day, I try to drink several glasses of tap water. Keeps the tubes running smoothly, and detoxes the blood stream. I'm not a health fanatic, but I can see and appreciate the common sense of our elders--eat right, get plenty of sleep every night, drink lots of water, and get some exercise. They weren't so dumb after all, lol. It works.

Remember, we live in a society that rails against smoking cigarettes, but champions the right to smoke marijuana. Go figure.

And don't get me started talking about alcohol, lol. I guess it hasn't ruined enough lives yet for us all to agree to purge that from our society. After all, we have rights, you know.
