Some are good at making new friends always, some others make friends only when you come to them "first" and issue conversation. Kind of you are 'needing' them - and along the way: u become friends

it is easy to make friends. but not faithful friends. only rainy day friends. (or make that sunny day friends). worldly friends.
even in church, they get mad at you once they realize that the Living God, Sovereign Creator, ABBA, requires a radical change of life besides warming a pew. not all feely goody, but real and true change in life, in behavior, in thoughts, in actions, in deeds, in goals - everything.

I tend to be shy, so often I've been the person that someone else approaches before becoming friends with them. (Trying to fix that, though.) Despite that, I'm a pretty friendly person, I think.

I'm terrible with people. Subconsciously I view them as threats, opponents, competitors and potential sources of pain. Thus I never really trust anyone.
There's no likeable thing about me that I know of, so I doubt anyone would want to be friends with me anyway.
So although I have tons of acquaintances I can't really get close to anyone. I doubt I could win anyone's friendship, so I don't even try.

Yes you can. You can work on it

Im an approachable person by anybody as long as its on a smaller scale smaller groups.I dont trust easily though so for that very personal emotionally intimate friendships over time I see a connection and open up.God is good he always shows me who he has put in my life for those connections and otherwise.I am an introvert but Im gifted in the way that people always know they can come to me with anything and I will not judge them.I love being a comforter.

you don't have to see yourself that way. I don't agree with at time and we have debated but I have never thought of you like that. I thought I was bad with competition. you have a hard time learning mma. one must tap and get hit a lot to improve.

sometimes when I read my own posts it will show how ignorant in grammar I have become. something that bothers me.

As long as you know who you are in the Lord then you have one true friend in Christ Jesus in whom will never leave you nor forsake you. All others are more acquaintances then they are in being a true faithful friend as friends come and go, but Jesus is always there for you. In my very small circle of friends I am usually the one who comforts, instructs and becomes the mediator/counselor as this is who God has made me to be. There is an old saying that to have friends you have to be a friend.

Haha, that's convenient: you never need to prepare for church since the "preparation" is already part of your church.

not sure what you mean?
Eh, I thought I replied to your post in the How do you prepare for church thread. Sorry, don't know how that happened.

See why I don't have friends? :( I make mistakes all the time.

I thought maybe that was it, but had to ask :) and even though we do not know each other I still think of you as a friend as you are my sister in Christ. I love your honesty in who you are and how you think as you are more real in your personality than most of the friends I have here where I live.

Im one of those ppl who can make friends with pretty much anyone. when I was in highs school I made friends with with popular kids cheer leaders ppl who were classified as nerds or losers even the bad kids who were the tough ppl everyone was scared of.
